You just keep hitting the "reset button" (read: ANB) and then rush in with a FBTN hero correct?  Not bad.  FBTN usually wins in early game situations.  You neede the thorns LS x2 so that when you hit the reset button, all the LS's stay in play so that you will definitely have targets to go after.  also a couple green sites and the color guard LS would keep your EC's in play while everyone else has to shuffle them up.

The reasoning I used a lot of doubles of each is so when I reset the game I get that btn hero and stand alone EC in my opening eleven cards.

But then if they have N.T.'s or females out I can not exchange. I would rather have the exchanger and my Nebushashben.

That is a good point but what could I take out?

Did you really use Gifts and Hur?  the only enhancement you can play on Hur is ANB which would just shuffle all you drew back into the draw pile anyway.  The only way you could keep the cards is if you let Hur die and gave up on the rescue.  also, I think that unless you have some searches in there, playing with NJ is kind of hit or miss.  How many times were you able to play both together?   it would be better to play SoG solo in Type two so you can have more flexibility to play it defensively.  Along with any of those spots (hur x2, gifts, nj) I think on the defensive side you could trim out either a Red Dragon or Ananias.  were you able to use the Ananias Saphira band?  ANother card migh be philosophy.  I like it because it is flexible, but does it win you any battles?

I would probably make the green sites BBH's too just in case they play site lockout with babylons, you can benefit from it  ;)

Hur was just in thier to hurt combo decks. My advice *cough*Kirk*cough* :)
This is the way Lackey gave it to me. All hail the power of Lackey!

Yeah, but ANB does the same thing and gets rid of ALL their cards (with Hur he can keep his Besiegeing the City  :) )

Yeah... but I guess Hur didn't work....  ::)

I'd also like to point out how great of a player he is. This deck is like $10. Okay, not actually, but expense wise it's extremely cheap for a type II... I could have built this with my cards, and I don't have many. It shows that he can make extremely effective decks with very low-budget cards. That's pretty awesome.

EDIT: After looking at the deck list... AMOS!? Why not like Joel?

Depends on what the average cost of a t2 deck is.  But this one looks similar in cost to many others.

Unholy Writ x3 > $10.00
King of Tyrus > $10.00
ANB x5 >$10.00
The Strong Angel x5 >$10.00
Judas Iscariot x2 >$10.00
Leviathan x2 >$10.00
May you prosper greatly!

Ok I got a lot of questions over the past day or so. Amos is for Golden Calf. Joel would have been nice but I have to have numbers after every ANB having a 1/1 with nothing to play on him is worthless. Although he is good for iniative to play ANB but I have Hidden Treasures so no point. And Amos is a prophet. Secondly, Hur is a combo killer. If you search/draw I hur you. Who cares if I lose the rescue I just made your hand completely different stalling out your combo. I used Gifts Hur a couple times. Every time it got me a dominant such as FA, GOYS, my other SoG or NJ, or it got me ANB and I played it after so I don't care about the Gifts. Gifts also hurts the Speed Camp deck if I got it out early.
Quote
, I think that unless you have some searches in there, playing with NJ is kind of hit or miss.  it would be better to play SoG solo in Type two so you can have more flexibility to play it defensively.
Wrong. I won almost all my games without using any dominants. I could take mostly all out and still be fine, but having that SoG/NJ helps. Yes I could do just one but I draw 11 everytime I play ANB and get a new hand. I have a better chance of getting my SoG/NJ before you. If I do not get out NJ, oh well, I always played SoG without it when needed.

Along with any of those spots (hur x2, gifts, nj) I think on the defensive side you could trim out either a Red Dragon or Ananias.

No way Jose. Red Dragon after I ANB is perfect. The chances of you getting a hero, battle winner, and interrupt that is non-negateable...I will take my chances. And yes it has to be CBN due to my EE's.
Quote
were you able to use the Ananias Saphira band?

Yes I love this band. Also I do not care if I block with Ananias and set him aside for four turns. Also this band is better than KoT due to AoTL. Having 2 of them in there is awesome. And he is only one card.
Quote
ANother card migh be philosophy.  I like it because it is flexible, but does it win you any battles?
Look at my deck. Both sides has btn. This card is a battle winner practically on both ends.

Tyler, props on an amazing deck and performance at Nats.  I'm pretty sure you deserve that 1st place even if it didn't work out that way.  I rarely learn much when I win a game.  I tend to learn a lot when I get stomped though.  Needless to say I learned a lot from our game.  ;)

I really enjoyed hanging out with you and talking strategy.  I'm looking forward to seeing you again next year at Nats, Lord willing.
Have you visited the Land of Redemption today?

Props to you for your performance at nationals. Using that deck and doing what you did in 5 diffreent games, you definitely deserve the win. Can't wait to see you next year as well, hope it all works out.
