I could have beat that deck at regionals if I hadn't been stupid and played my Mayhem at a dumb time. That is, not to say it isn't a good deck or anything. Probably fun to play with.

Congrats John on winning, but I was offend when you said you don't want me to play CA way. That upset me for the entire game and the following game. LOL. Thanks.

in John's defense, I must say when I played you I did get confused at times what is what. I'm not used to the style you play, and neither is John.

it'd be nice if the PTB would set up a mandatory placement of cards.

Actually california style makes a whole lot of sense with Evil on one side and good on the other.  so if the PTB Do mandate a style, I think it should be California style...

But I woldnt hold my breath about mandating a specific style because all you have to do is ask your opponent what they have showing and they have to tell you.

Actually, the main offensive part wasn't the part he wanted me to play the traditional way, however, I have already told him that I don't know how to, and he is still wanting me to play. But it is all over, we are all cool now. Thanks.

why not just the style as shown in the rule book?

1. it an get confusing when EC's are converted and then sometimes "slip" back down to the EC level,
2. having to move your heros out of the way every time you block.
3. Artifacts getting lost in all the Fortress/art/discard clutter that happens around the draw pile.
4. Bigger decks need more room to spread out.
5. ...should I keep going?

Why not just have a unified standard? i.e. the rulebook

With all due respect Mike, I dont feel like I was out of line in asking you to play as listed in the rulebook at all. If you're going to take offence to that then frankly you need to re-examine your priorities in life. Additionally, this is the type of thing that frankly doesn't need to come out on the boards, especially considering that we played in T22P and this is a thread about my T2MP deck - If you were truly that offended, you could have aproached me personally at the tournament, or through PM's. That being said, After I asked Kevin if you were required to switch if asked and he said no I relented, and let you play "California Style" - However if you will remeber there were at least 3 moments in the game where I was temporarily confused, the first that comes to mind if you moving Emp Nero over to what 87% of players think of as the discard pile, when I had converted him to blue. I even went to move him back into battle saying I wasn't discarding him, until you reminded me of your unorthodox set up.

I'll just repeat myself to make the point abundantly clear to future readers of this thread:

Why not just have a unified standard? i.e. the rulebook

P.S. Was 87% an arbitrary picked number or scientific poll?

With all of my respect, John, I apologize for commenting in the wrong topic, I am so sorry for commenting your Type II multiplayer deck, I got confused with the abbreviation. Lastly, congrats on your win again, I wish to make a treaty with you to make everything peacefully, and no more fighting or arguing. Thank you.

No need to apologize about bringing up a type 2 ANB reset deck.  In fact, it should probably be talked about at least once a week.  ANB Reset Decks are awesome...since not only did this deck take 1st....a very similar version of this deck took 5th...

except mine actually had a defense that could stop someone and not just play false peaces  ;)
