LOL.

One was played on you when you were tied for the lead (of the two non-Guardianed players). One was played on you by the leader, who's probably not going to play it on himself. The last one I played on the leader.

A good player would have just activated their Lampstand to prevent that.  ;)

I just didn't want you to start thinking about the injustice of it all and get tears on your nice shiny National Champion trophy.  ;)

That was a nice game and very well played. Congrats on going back-to-back.

Thanks! All I wanted for my bday was Falling Away to be played on me twice during Nationals at the top table. LOL  :P Mr. Slugfencer I've got to hand it to you, 2nd in type 1 multi and 1st in type 2 multi. That's quite an accomplishment, congratulations. You're one, if not the best multi players around ever, you're a force to be reckoned with.

Thanks dude, your not so shabby yourself, back to back 1st places with the same basic deck. After a year people can prepare for it and you still trash the opposition is hardcore.  :) At least I had some of the "nobody knows me" thing going on in multi which is an advantage...you didn't have that and still won again!!  :o

I give up. What is the role of King Jeroboam II in your deck?

I guess I'm just used to seeing the 1/1 (Jehoahaz) as a potential choice in that situation. Without white backup, the 4/5 needs only 4 defense points to block, which could come in the form of Lying Unto God and any other multicolor enhancement. I guess, though, that it is at least not thrown away by Crown of Thorns. Perhaps one offensive card could go out for adding Amaziah the Ungodly Priest for a cool reusable auto-block, but that likely goes against the spirit of the deck.

Hey,

I've counted a couple times, and keep coming up with only 49 cards in the deck.  Any idea what I'm missing?

There is a possibility that I might one day, don't count out a heroless deck to show up in a type 1 multi game this year.

The first game that I played with a heroless deck it was a multiplayer game. I didn't have any other decks together. lol Yeah, let's just say I lost.

An Israelite King for King Amazing to choose as the blocker, in a brigade very few people use.

I might have to disagree with ya; crimson's amazing imo  ;)

Yeah, I've seen quite a few people use crimson.

Hey, would this deck still work at tournaments, even against TGT decks/post-RoA decks?

uhm... YES! This won the last national tournament. This deck will win before a garden tomb. You don't have to worry much about blocking. It's multi-player.  ;)

Actually, don't think it would do so great this year with all the new lost souls and all. The Garden Tomb is just as quick as any old speed deck.

I'm trying to make a T1-2P speed deck, and so I took your deck list and was trying to build the deck, but I would like to have it be a 2P deck, not MP.  What should I change to make it 2P instead of MP?

This deck can also be used as 2player as well. If I were you I would play this deck against many different players/decks and switch out cards that do not help you, for cards that you think you need. The best way to know what should be changed is by playing it, imo.

Only problem with that is that I don't really have anyone to play against, and I still haven't gotten the RTS package from Lambo...

Oh...well in that case, make 2 decks like I do. I consistently make new decks and play them against each other. It sounds kind of lame but it shows you your ratios and combos.
Title: Re: My Nationals Winning deck Type 1 Multi-player (Velocity)
Post by: Mageduckey on April 10, 2009, 10:31:41 PM
But how would you play?  If you know what the other deck has in its hand, then you will know what to play to counter stuff, and you'll know what the 2nd deck needs to play to counter the first deck's counters/battle winners.  So how exactly would that work?  Thanks for the advice!

You have to switch your thinking. Attack with what you would use normally and block with what you would normally do. Eventually you will realize what combos will be played/used.
