So I've never been very good at booster in Redemption. Pretty sure I've never won anything states or higher in booster. Going in to Nats, I would absolutely have considered it a success to win like four out of seven games. While I still kind of miss the chaos of multi-player draft in the old days, drafting with Roots was a great experience as it opens up a ton of new possibilities. I won't pretend to be an expert on boosting strategy but I committed pretty early on in the draft to silver/green and I feel like it paid off significantly. I drafted a ton of roots mostly because I wasn't seeing many busted or cohesive options in most of the expansions. I felt like that might decrease the power level of the deck compared to the rest of the field, but that didn't turn out to the be case (except for Kye dropping The Resurrection on me
). I passed on quite a bit of blue in both LoC and IR because it's.. blue. Obviously, the Moses was a massive piece but I wasn't really able to take full advantage of his potential because I couldn't get any white enhancements and minimal wilderness synergy. I felt like all the green enhancements needed to be in maindeck so I missed out on potential reserve value as well. Moses pulling out battle winners was very strong in the early game but I still think the deck would have functioned without him. One of my LoC packs had a Matthew's Begats but I had to pass on it because I didn't have any meek heroes. TSA got a ton of walk-ins and the silver enhancements on him won several numbers battles. Overall, the offense had a lot of solid options Hidden Treasures, CBN Root of Jesse on Isaiah and with the to recur Ezekiel/Isaiah enhancements if needed. Stocks is an absolutely amazing card limited formats and I can't believe I didn't put the Grail I drafted in main as well. Chamber did very little and Stan's Seat came in clutch a couple times although it does potentially negate my Worshipping Demons. One of the main weaknesses of the deck was definitely soul gen with only Medad and the star ability on Wheat and Tares. Also, the defense was a liability although it could have been really strong with a few more black pieces. I drafted several black enhancements early on but I really struggled to find characters for them. I could deal with lone heroes pretty easily with Archelaus, KoT, Blood Avenger and Deserving Scorn, but against banding, Philistine Commanders or pulling off a Rizpah's Sackloth were pretty much the only options.
