Forts: 4
Throne of David
Solomon's Temple
Gates of Jerusalem
Gates of Hell

Sites: 1
Kidron Valley
(takes out household idols/shrine, rbd, cwd, charms, writ etc)

Artifacts: 5
Urim and Thummim
Darius' Decree
(counter fruits and feasts)
Unknown Nation (great back up block)
Golden Cherubim (if they draw you can win)
Covenant with Death (awesome for the gates defense since with gates your evil kings abilities become cbn any way, and cbn isaiah protection)

Heroes: 9
Temple Priests
(amazing against blocks like belshazzar's banquet, death of unrighteous, sss etc.)
King David (walks in on royalty)
Isaiah (cbn protection for huge banding chains)
King Hezekiah (can band to isaiah for auto rescues with cbn protection +can discard evil cards in territory)
Melchizedek (protection from capture and can play off throne or teal cards)
King Solomon (searching to get set up+ hand spying)
Phineas, son of Eleazar (zeal of the lord and urim high priest +12 attack)
King Amaziah (choose the blocker with Basha)
Amariah the High Priest (high priest, enhancements cbi)

Good Enhancements: 6
Temple Dedication
(good protection. usually for searching out golden cherubim)
Jehoiada's Strength (huge cbn protected isaiah bands)
Eli's Sound Advice (great judges counter for a d3)
Zeal for the Lord
Unified Kingdom
(another big banding chain with cbn protection from isaiah)
Valley of Salt (cbn on amaziah can be amazing territory destruction and battle winning)

Evil Characters: 11
King Zedekiah
(great for initiative plus gets cbn capture for soul gen)
King Basha (amaziah fodder can be a last resort to block with and use unknown nation as an enhancement)
The Amalekites' Slave (soul gen grabs anybody good for the moment can play unknown nation as an enhancement)
King Abijam (amazing cbn decrease with gates up, can also grab sites for access as a hero)
King Rehoboam (amazing for territory destruction and side battle plays- found out strife is an auto block with this guy)
Spirit of Temptation (huge cbi banding potential here also a gates back up guy)
Foreign Wives (protection ability if they d5, cool in the theme, can play suicide swine)
Messenger of Satan (amazing cbp huge banding potential, gates back up)
Gomer (huge cbn banding potential, can grab their guys to make it that much more messy)
King Manasseh (judean king for instead amazing cbn evil character, many forms of use here)
Uzzah (can be a great chump if you need him/play)

Evil Enhancements: 6
Gibeonite Trickery
(awesome end the battle especially with big bands)
Dungeon of Malchiah (can be cbn and soul gen)
Wickedness Abounds (awesome d4 with a play, helps a ton for speed)
Scattered (cbn with more than one hero in battle, also great if they try to negate and discard your character because you may be able to instead off temple)
Korah's Rebellion (went back and forth for wickedness of the tenants, with the new ignore ruling both will prolly be in here at some point)
Suicidal Swine Stampede (amazing for getting rid of your souls, also for banding to your opponents evil characters and removing them from the game to open up potential rescues)

I love the huge banding chain potential here, the protection for good and evil, and also the ability to discard 1 teal card as an instead to discard for both good and evil Judean Kings + King Solomon with Solomon's Temple. Much less costly than the NT variation of Herod's Temple. Ezra's Journey has been a big consideration for releasing captured heroes then another huge cbn protected band.

In hindsight King Amon seems like an absolute must for this defense for recurring battle winners when you need them. Strife also might be a must play with Rehoboam. Any other insight you would like to share would be greatly appreciated!!

Overall really fun deck to play. Especially when your opponent has Foreign Wives and you can choose King Basha with Amaziah for a D7 off Throne of David play Valley of Salt first, getting rid of their guys in territory and just letting Basha die by the numbers..

This deck was a collaboration created by Daniel Huisinga who won Booster 2015. Hopefully his win will yield a card that may make it even better!! Who knows!

Have fun with your new Glory of the Lord Promo!! :)

Awesome deck! Thanks for sharing it, JD. I'm so glad we got to meet, play and hang out a little at Nationals. You were one of the highlights of my time in TN.

You took 1st with this, right? If that's correct, do you mind if I move it to the Nationals winning decks forum?
Have you visited the Land of Redemption today?

This looks like a very fun deck to play and I'm glad it won over all the boring Judges decks I'm sure I would have played had I been there. Out of curiosity, why King Basha instead of a brown king of Israel, such as King Saul? I feel like you might've been able to get away with using the brown King Saul, Samuel, and maybe Provisions and the good King Saul. That'd give you some more speed and versatility with Eli's Sound Advice and potential blocks. I realize that it's a "Complete Deck" but I just wanted to offer a few suggestions in case you don't decide to scrap it for a New Testament deck as many will begin to do.  :P

absolutely! the reason for king basha is because he is gold and gold defense is easily the least played of all i have seen. now with the new set i can't still make that claim because there are some great gold cards and i'm sure we will see more of it played (obviously if they are playing gold defense i wouldn't choose basha for a block because they might have a good one for me), but for the most part there is basically one battle winner i might find in most defense with gold brigade and that's abandonment which isn't an interrupt. have you seen the new gold evil enhancement card revolt?? i pulled one out of a persecuted church pack and freaked!! :)
