Hi, my name is Aaron and this was my first Nationals competition.  This was also my first time playing booster draft.  It was also the first time I managed to rank in any category.  Which makes this a first for me on several levels.  Had a blast at Nats and thought I would post my deck here.

I went 3-1-1 in the tournament.  Barnabas steamrolled through 2 of my games for me.  The soul gen was huge, especially when I would find an opponent who did not have any (or many) evil cards in their deck.  The first game we played was a 3-way tie for first with a score of 4-4-4-2.  The game I lost was close, but my Barnabas was killed on his first rescue attempt and really set me back in the game.  However, that allowed me to be given some free lost souls since I was losing.  I managed to come back to 4-4-4-4, but on the turn before mine, my opponent drew a lost soul (and my hopes skyrocketed, since no other lost souls were in play) and then he used one of the new Clay brigade heroes to pull out a lost soul from another opponent's deck (and my hopes plummeted).  He then went on to take first.  All in all, I was happy with the cards I managed to pull.  Two disappointments with my draft: Barnabas was the only new card that I drafted (I wish I had taken some more), and I only started pulling green cards in the final round of the draft.  Because of this, I didn't have any support for Barnabas, or Isaiah.  I can't remember how many points I had total but I'm sure someone can calculate it for me.  Three wins, 3-way tie for first, and 3-way tie for second.  I had a blast at Nats, so many thanks to Autumn Ridge Church for hosting and Chris Bany, Covenant Games, and all the others who helped everything run smoothly.

Wait...that's cards from at least 3 tins....how many 10 card packs did you all have in the draft? I thought it was supposed to be without tins? I forgot Early Church had FooF/RoA in it...never mind...

Congrats on 2nd man, and on your 1st ever booster!? :o I remember my first booster when Priests was brand new, my deck was absolutely awful.

AutO and Gideon, King Zed and Dungeon, and all the offense in general make for a very solid draft. If you would have cut to 50 who knows what would've happened?

I would post my deck, but it's not nearly as interesting. I will say my plan from the start was to take as much of the new brigade as possible, and this is what I ended up with for clay:

Paul's Disciples
Timon
Simon the Tanner
Tabitha
Peter

Gentleness
Deception Exposed
Miracle at the Gate

David's Harp and a first strike Hero were the other big pulls in my deck.
Anything that pulls Lost Souls (Barnabas, Timon, Patience, etc) makes a huge difference in booster and the person controlling that usually ended up winning.
If you were to go on a trip... where would you like to go?

Thanks.  Yeah, I had a nice block with King Zed, played Wickedness Abounds to draw 4, and got Dungeon of Malchiah to capture the rescuer.  Bulletproof Gideon also won me my last lost soul in my final game to win 5-3-3-3.  I had originally joked at the start of the draft before opening any packs that we should just throw out the blue packs since they were so old that nothing would be useful, but someone responded that I was free to do that but he was gonna pull his 3-liner from it, or Gideon.  When he mentioned that, I realized that Gideon would be useful, and lo and behold, when I opened my pack, I saw Gideon, so he was my first round pick in the draft.  (People may realize that I tend to be very vague in terms of people's names.  This is not intended to be rude, but I have one of the worst memories for names, so if you recognize yourself in my situations, please feel free to shout out.)  Ironically, when I opened my new Early Church box, I saw AUtO and AWASN but forgot about grabbing AUtO for bulletproof Gideon and instead took Isaiah (Isaiah's call was also in there).  Fortunately, AUtO made it back around and I took him next.  Ironically, our table drafted the 2nd and 3rd place decks.
