For the first time in several years, I was able to participate in high level T1-2P tournaments due to a few tournies I attended where it didn't conflict with 2P. I was also able to do well at these tournies, to the point that I thought I would play T1-2P at Nationals, and see how my deck did on an even bigger stage. At the last minute, I switched to T2-2P to even out the numbers as a few people signed up late (my gratitude goes out to them). I did get a lot of people interested in facing my deck in fun games, but only played 2, and went 1-1.

Basically, the idea of the deck was to take advantage of the fact that much of today's meta ignores site access, since site lock hadn't been popular for awhile. People depend a lot on cards like Isaiah, Wheel, or multi-brigade offenses, and most of the time Goliath was able to remove whichever Hero had access, forcing my opponent to use a battle winner to defeat him in the battle challenge only for him to come back once or twice via Outpost and PAB. Ashdod and Scattered was also a great play. The offense took advantage of the fact that Angels are usually able to outlast most defenses, though the four timeout wins and the tie evidence the fact that bigger defenses are able to typically hold them off. AD and Golgotha is one of my favorite tricks for recursion of both Good and Evil Enhancements, and adding in Jacob's band ability and play first of RTC convinced me that a small blue contingent would work well, which it did. The two Canaanites along with Canaan and Fortify Site were also great adds, often times as nothing more than a good replacement for DoN. I loved the fact that it was so balanced (8 souls, 8 doms- four of each, 8 Heroes, 8 ECs, 8 GEs, 8 EEs, 8 Arts/Covs/Curses/Forts, etc.)
Six sites always seemed like enough, with site doubler, burial, and a couple of ways to get LSs to bottom, and they all helped in other ways as well. Overall, it was a really fun deck to use, and it will be interesting to see what effect the new set has on it.
