This deck went 4-1, and all in all, it was a really fun tournament, despite having extremely low attendance (twelve people total). The last game was lost due to Polarius and another kid (I don't know his name) trolling and playing Christian Martyr on me twice just for the laughs, but that game was great fun and probably the highlight of the category, aside from winning it. I wish I had had Falling Away instead of Mayhem, but other than that, all my other complaints with the deck were mildly nitpicky. It's nice to be a national champion though. :)

I told you to play with Falling Away in multi. It takes skill.

Hey Chris,

I was the guy who played Darius's Decree in the first round. Nice deck. T1 multi was hilarious. We had three Mayhems played in one turn in one game.

Congrats Chris. How did that defense end up working for you?

Good work, Chris - deck's a beast!  Great to see the PA players do so well this year.

We went to Perkins at 10:50 Wednesday night, and they were closing at 11:00, so we went to Applebees. Thursday we took off early and made it to Perkins on time. Friday we went to Ihop.

Thanks everyone. :)

Hey Chris,

I was the guy who played Darius's Decree in the first round. Nice deck. T1 multi was hilarious. We had three Mayhems played in one turn in one game.

It was probably the most laid-back category played at Nats in years. The first game ridiculous (you and megamanlan going at it was one of the highlights of my trip), and the only game that seemed to have much pressure at all was the fourth game which locked me in for the win. The fifth game wasn't even close to serious, because nobody really cared all that much at our table.

Congrats Chris. How did that defense end up working for you?

I never used it much. I got Great Image off once, and Banquet off a couple times, but I probably would have been better off with my T12P defense, all things considered.

Ihop? No Perkins? Unforgivable.

Wednesday night we went to Perkins (a thirty minute drive), but it closed at 11, so it was too late, and we went to Applebees instead. Thursday night we went to Perkins (again, a thirty minute drive). Friday night we decided to just go to IHOP (a two minute drive), and the waiter there was not only clearly a homosexual, but was flirting with Martin all night. Good times.
