sometime ago I had posted something saying "The Gauntlet" and si I just thought i'd go back and re-edit it to see what I can come up with so here's what I have.
type G
Gauntlet re-edit
type 1 deck building rules
no dominants
restriction on sites: 2 maximum if any
lost souls restriction: generic souls only
no fortresses
souls to win: 4
single brigaded offense and defense
other ruling variations
abilities with X are zero

Would this just be a simpler version of the game, or is there a whole new strategy that could be developed? Maybe this could be a version of the game for beginners.

could be but I was thinking of making the game a lil more intriguing with limitations that so many players are used to. but yes I think it would be a simpler way to play for beginners. but a have a somewhat different idea on what to make easier for beginners with Colors Don't Matter but not sure how it is now compared to then but I do have high hopes for it

Brigades are not hard at all, I would leave them in.

as far as colors don't matter goes. it was just an overrated idea I had to allow what was green to be played on gold but in this day and age, it would be so broken

Seems like you're heavily trying to discourage themed decks. Any reason why?
