Hey All,
Cleaning up some stuff I found my handwritten notes for how to play Type 2 Booster (as played at the Fourth Annual MN Type II Mostly Tournament)...
0) Everyone must bring 14 non-SA LS.
1) You must play with tins (because just packs would be karazy in a bad way.)
2) Each player receives two identical tins (i.e., two copies of Tin XV).
3) You look at your tin pack (the RoA cards, for example) and sort them face down into three piles based on alignment (i.e., good/evil/neutral)..
4) Each round of drafting you open both of your matching packs (i.e., both Unlimited packs for example) and draft from the combined cards. The drafted cards go into the correct pile based on their alignment.
5) At the end of each draft round, you may count the number of good and evil cards to make sure you are staying on track. We found it was easier at the end of the round to just pair off the good and evil and just leave the extras (if any) out.
6) Once all the drafting is done, you may build a deck. All standard Type 2 deck building rules are in effect.

What happens if you are short evil or good cards? Or does this not happen? Also do you use TexP in the draft?
-
We did play with TexP, but I didn't write down if it was one of two packs. Sorry.
The point of counting in between draft rounds is to try to attempt to balance good and evil. Given two tins you are going to have somewhere between 39 and 54 extra cards (depending on whether there are one or two TexP used). I suppose it is possible not to be able to match good/evil, but with so many spares no one had that problem.

Matt,
We played with a single treasures pack.
-
7.) If you are at a table with an elite player, convince the other 2 to 3 players (excluding the elite one) to take every good card they see. If you and the others do it, the elite player should be unable to build a legal deck.
-
Matt,
We played with a single treasures pack.
And all of Bill's Unlimited packs. ;)
Oh yeah--
8 ) Start building your deck around 1:00 am
9) Start playing around 2:00 am

karazy in a bad way
I think you are mixing karazy up with crazy.

+1

:miss:
I thought karazy was two scoops of regular crazy + one cup of full on edge + a dash or seven of attitude. Was I mistaken?

EXPENSIVE!!! but not a bad idea.
bill was EXTREMELY generous, so it didn't cost as much as it should have.

I walked up to Rob Anderson and Roy Cruz playing, and declared the "battle of the ancients". Boy did I have to backpedal fast. Where's an interrupt when you need one?
