Testament Block Constructed/Limited

I was thinking of other ways to have sancationed formats that Redemption would want to consider. What are your thoughts on "Testament Blocks"? Either format shouldn't matter, Type 1 & 2, or Booster Draft. The only difference would be the pool of cards regarding which Testament.

Old Testament Block would contain only cards from O.T.
[Booster Draft should only use boosters from these sets]
Main, Warriors, Womens, Prophets, Patriachs, Kings, Priests, FOOF, ROA, TxP.

Mainly because those sets containly mostly O.T. cards.

New Testament Block would contain only cards from N.T.
[Booster Draft should only use boosters from these sets]
Apostles, Angel Wars, and Disciples.

Mainly because those sets contain mostly N.T. cards.

For other formats like Type 1 & 2, teams, etc. People can only construct decks within either Old or New Testaments.

Closed Deck would be a problem because each deck within the C & D, G & H decks seemed to be balanced which would be too hard to try to build a closed deck from that lot of cards.

That could add an interesting flavor of play to the mix, what do you think?

I like it as a fun variant, but not as a sanction type. And something in the back of my mind is screaming that certain strategies would be dangerously O.P. with only one testament to deal with. That and all of the TGT counters are O.T.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

I like it for a variant, too.  Son of God and NJ are different testaments. :)

Why not FBTN for OT? That seems broken it'd be so good with no NT counters...
As a national champion, I support ReyZen deck pouches.

Both of those were N.T. decks. I haven't started on O.T. decks yet.
