Hi all! I have a new Gameplay Variation I am interested in trying. Below is my initial concept. Please feel free to suggest ways to make this better. I'm tentatively calling it Clean Color Duos Type.
Clean Color Duos.
Prior to the game, each player will roll a D6 die. The resulting roll will determine the deck the player must build for the upcoming game. These will be called "color-duos" (or "brigade-duos"). Players cannot play the same brigade-duos. If the 2nd person to roll rolls the same number as the first person, the 2nd person rolls again.
These are the brigade-duos that each die roll decides: (these brigades are the either a good/evil version of the same shade, or antithetical colors).
1 Gold, Evil Gold
2 Green, Pale Green
3 Red, Crimson
4 Silver, Gray
5 White, Black
6 Player's choice (as long as it is not the same as the other player's brigade-duo).
Left out (because there is no intuitive pairing):
Teal, clay, purple, blue, orange, brown
Deck Building Rules:
1. Deck must contain between 50-56 cards (plus a Reserve with 0-10 cards). As stated above, it also cannot be the same brigade-duo as your opponent.
2. No Free Rescue LS/Hero cards (Son of God, Chariot of Fire, Eternal Inheritance, etc).
3. Pure Cards Only: no multi-anything cards.
-No multi-brigade characters or enhancements.
-No cards that turn into other brigades. (Example: such as Matthew)
-No dual-alignments cards (example: such as Crowd's Choice).
-No dual-types (DAC, DAE).
-No covenants, curses, or cities.
4. Maximums.
-Maximum of 1 special ability Lost Soul; the rest must be meek.
-Maximum of 1 artifact.
-Maximum of 1 fortress.
-Maximum of 1 site.
-Maximum of 4 dominants.
5. There must be a total of 7 Lost Souls in the deck. (Hopper can be added, does not count as a LS for deck building purposes, but it DOES count as the 1 special ability LS allowed in the deck).
Winning the game:
Rescue 4 Lost Souls to win.
