Some new concepts for the game

These are some ideas that me and my friend came up with a while back and I thought I post them on here.

Ambushers: This idea came from the patriarch set card "Ambush" the way the it works is you have two Heroes and Evil Characters in the set-aside area that are not counted as part of your deck. During battle you can bring one in and it is removed the game regardless of outcome. The rules are:
>The characters must match the brigades in your deck
>The characters are removed after battle
>Max. of 2 Heroes and 2 Evil Characters.

Retreat: This explains itself. If the hero(s) are losing the battle/rescue attempt the, one hero can return to territory unharmed. All cards placed on them are discard. The rules are:
>This can only be used once per game
>Only one Hero in battle may retreat
> This count as a withdraw, so abilities like Herod Agrippa II would activate

Let me know what you think.

I'm not really sure that the game needs card abilities to be converted into game rules. There is already enough to consider during a given turn, some of which can be confusing, and having to remember that these options exist and all the specific restrictions (once per game for Retreat, removing them from the game after battle for the Ambushers, etc.) would just end up creating more complexity without adding any significant (in my opinion) diversity to the game.

I think these are interesting ideas to build into cards (a territory-class enhancement that provides the Retreat effect, for example) but I don't think they should be game rules.
