anybody still remember?

the horrendous vest idea I had for "redemption on the go"? well the whole idea I had was just for passengers of like planes, trains, and automobiles to play during travel, ive tried one year when I was younger and more childish in my personality and my ideas to as my younger sister and I were on the road, we would play the game, and the cards kept sliding around which is where the want to be able to effectively take redemption on the road originated from. course the whole vest concept was off the wall and it was just taking the duel disc from yugioh to a different level that just didn't work. so here is what I was thinking of; a portable table that when folded in it would fold like an M and when folded out, it could have a somewhat flat surface but with like something to keep the cards in place and along the side there could be 4 compartments on one side, each compartment having it's own purpose; set aside cards, draw pile, discard pile, and land of redemption. and a compartment somewhere for like counters like dice, poker chips, coins, and such like. this concept after really pondering on it, is a much better and appropriate concept unlike the vest images I made off paint. what does everyone think?

Cool idea! I'd never thought of how to make Redemption playable on the go with the the actual cards as opposed to lackey. This sounds like something TLG could promote and sell if it was made, as it's sort of like a playmat but specifically for travel with compartments/sections/holders/etc. very helpful and creative because on trips like long road trips in the car are great times for playing!

We actually did something like this where we glued card pages onto a rigid surface. We used it on the way to Boston Nationals with the first and to my knowledge, only mobile Redemption tournament. It is something that is fairly easy to mock up on your own if you wanted to do it. the biggest issue if I remember correctly, is the deck/discard pile since they are actually stacks of cards and not just a few cards. I think we ended up just leaving our decks in our deck boxes and then drawing from there.

when it comes to the compartments I was thinking along the lines of the compartments actually having some sort of lid on them to secure the cards in place to make sure they don't fly out of the compartment

The problem with a lid is that it would need to be removed every time u wanted to play, move or remove a card.

You could use some sort of card dealers boot that you load you deck into. As far as the card pages, they secured the cards enough to keep them in place but not so much that it was a hassle to get them and move them when needed.
