I'm just wondering wht would be the best way to play test a deck besides playing every deck and thousands of players.

Just wondering,

I try to playtest my decks against the most popular--and powerful decks (can be found on most deck advice threads and nats champion decks), and I can do it myself by using RTS playing Vs myself. I just make logical and fair plays to both sides and see what happens. This has helped me understand how decks work.

First; I do RTS single player and see how it draws.
Second; I play the best decks in the meta and make sure this deck consistently beats them
Third; Play the most unusual deck you can find and see if you win (I suggest Florida players, I'm always surprised)

Always play multiple times against the same deck, especially the common ones. You need to play at least 5 times to get a good estimation, IMO.

I'm shocked that no one's mentioned ROOT yet.  It's a great way to see the national meta, and play against some great (and creative) decks.

I agree with SK, ROOT is GREAT for really testing against the toughest competition possible.  My last 2 games have been against a National T1-2p champion (Soul Seeker-NY) and another of the most highly respected players in the country (Polarius-TN), and my next game will likely be against Alex_Olijar-PA, who is also highly respected around the country.  Where else are you going to face competition like that from 3 different states?

*admitted bias in this post as I'm currently serving on the leadership team of ROOT
