I am working on a Transformers Trading Card Game using all the characters ever made from Transformers from G1 to TF3 and everything in between.

I will post some of my Cards, the Rulebook, etc. But right now I'd like to hear feedback on how u all think a Transformers TCG should be.

Love to hear what u all think!

They seem pretty lame as fighters maybe we should challenge them to a dance off or a redemption game

The cards should be thick stock with slits, so that they can transform into miniatures during the game (looking something like simplified Pirates ships).

Personally I've never been a fan of the 3D games. They lose interest quickly. And Hasbro tried that before and it flopped.

Although the game does have mechanics for Characters to Transform.

As to Territories, the game does have that, but the goal is to defeat the Supreme Commander of the Opponent and their main Base. But I was thinking of making it more based on Energy Sources, since the Desepticons are almost always trying to get energy to fuel their conquest.
But nice ideas altogether! My energy Source idea would be kinda a combo of an Artifact and a Lost Soul, but they would be in a territory for people to take. What other suggestions?

As long as it is not like Pokemon's energy cards...  ;)

Actually, my idea is to have them be more like this:
There are 2 ways to play a Power Source,
1. If you win a battle in an Arena, you may take the Power Source listed in that arena from any players Deck and play it on one of your Bases, or take that Power Source from an Opponents Base and add it to your Fuel Pile.
Or 2. If you draw a Power Source, you may play it to your Fuel Pile. You may only play 1 Power Source per turn. And may only place 1 Power Source on a Base per turn. Power Sources effects activate during your Prep Phase. Cards in a Fuel Pile cannot activate their effects.

That is my idea for Power Sources. They will constantly be a struggle between getting them just like in the shows, movies and comics. It will also determine time-out rounds.

Off topic, did you by chance get Fall of Cybertron? Highly recommended.

I want to get it. Hopefully I will soon.

I want to make a set for this game based on War for Cybertron/Fall of Cybertron games.

That would be pretty cool, I would buy it for just that alone.

My goal is actually to make every version of all the Transformers Characters into the game so you can use anyone from the old Generation 1 series to Characters from Fall of Cybertron and Transformers Prime as well as everything in between. Sometimes I'd love some help in trying to simplify the game, but I want to keep all the aspects of the Transformers war in there as well... It can get difficult.
