Miniatures

So I used to play war games (like 40K and Warmahordes), but I got away from them due to one reason or another.

Is there anyone out there who would be interested in a table top game (not board game) with Biblical elements?

I'm not sure what they are yet... but I have a few ideas and was curious if there were any other table toppers out there besides me.

I have played Warmachine/Hordes, Star Wars Minis and a few others. Are you looking for Biblical games or are you wanting to make one?

As far as I know there aren't any out there. I was considering making one, or attempting it, to see if it's fun haha

If you want to market it to Presbyterians and Church of Christ people, base it on Angels and Demons. If you want to market it to Baptists and the other kind of Presbyterians, base it on the conquest of Canaan.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

Over 40 years ago I bought a game manual on table top war gaming and bought a bunch of miniature soldiers.  However, before I started to play I stumbled upon a new RPG called D&D and I was off and running for the next 25+ years.  Then roughly 15 years ago I came across Redemption.

I still have my old dragon raid game too. I've collected Miniatures for years as well since the seventies actually. A lot of historical Miniatures have some biblical ranges of miniatures. You can use many different sets of War gaming rules just to set up battles with them.

That's 2! How many do we need? haha

The only problem I had with this was trying to have good vs evil (not sure the idea of the Disciples attacking the disciple is the best visually haha)

I thought about scenario based. Each player has good and evil and then they roll off for it.

Ex. This time I am evil, and I'm laying siege to your area with Egyptians. Moses could defend that, disciples could defend that, etc. OT vs NT at least wouldn't be a big problem, in any case it might be kinda cool. A 'What if' table top game.

I have also been considering using a few mechanics from Warmahordes (if anyone is familiar) you have one main piece that leads your army. It is your queen, but also your king (in a chess sense). It's your best piece, but if they day, you loose. There are plenty of leaders out there that could help. Moses, Joshua, Gabriel, Michael, etc. Even evil could have a pharaoh, or Evil King of Israel/Judah.

I think as a balancing factor (and point system), it would be obvious that there would probably be more guys on an army based theme than say a, disciple theme. The army theme as easier to beat guys, but the mass of them is what makes them good. Disciples, while few in numbers, would have better abilities for survival and game play.

So an average game could only have a few disciples and a large game you could field closer to 12.

Those are some of my ideas out for the world to see.
