If you're looking for a J-RPG that doesn't use magic, good luck.If you're looking for just a regular RPG that doesn't use magic, good luck again, but there are a few. Though the only one that comes to mind is Mount & Blade and that game wasn't very good.
There's plenty of A-RPGs that don't use magic. They also tend to involve incredibly violent sequences that would suggest he can't play those either.

Closest I can get to anything kind of what I like is Fire emblem but it also has magic... sigh.... Thanks,KingLeo
