The Cumpruter I'm using is to slow. Is there a way I can speed it up for free that you know will work. preferably without having to download.Thank you all.

Buy a mac.

Clear your cache. Delete files you don't need anymore. Etc.

Run Malware Bytes.

Clear out your download folder.
Tell your computer to clear out all the temp files.

I'm just curious, do you know what processor, RAM, and video card your computer is currently using?

I don't know about him, but my processor says "8088," the RAM says 16k, and I can't seem to find a video card, but my screen is all green and black if that helps.

All very good ideas to try first. However, if you still aren't getting the speed you are expecting, a complete re-build works wonders. Yeah, it's a lot of work, but boy is it worth it. Just this past year, I've re-built our home PC, three home laptops, two work desktops, and 48 servers. VERY noticeable difference in speed!

Have you tried making new punch cards or maybe replacing some of the vacuum tubes?

Your computer has less ram than my calculator, this thing isn't salvageable.

Each of my processors 8 cores has 64 mob of cache, my processor has more Ram, what operating system does it run windows 2?

I know you requested no downloading, but if you really want to try to get the old computer to be "fast enough to be practicalish" you could try a new OS.
