What relatively obscure artists do people like? All I can think of is AWOLNATION for myself. What about other people?
And a band that shouldn't be as obscure as they are, ApologetiX.
Anyone ever heard of Reliant K? I really like their vocals and musical style.

We should probably tighten our definition of "obscure" if Muse and Relient K are names being thrown around. A while back I got into Alestorm - a Folk Pirate Metal Band. The only "underground" Christian band I've listened to with any kind of regularity is Eleventyseven, though in hindsight, they're pretty terrible, and I only listen to them for nostalgic purposes. Oh No! Oh My! is an indie pop band, which I have loved for a long time now. Nothing else I listen to is really underground, other than this band from the 60s called the Beatles.
I hereby put forth the notion that "obscure" means "does not have a Wikipedia page." Which I suppose makes my original Defiance, Ohio post incorrect.I like Saturday Sun.
Nostalgatopia. But yes, terrible.Ayreon is my real answer.
