I just found this album on my hard drive, I have no idea how it got there.  It sounds pretty good, they've got a sound like Nightwish, but are Christian.

That girl could pass as an older Carrie Underwood.

Or fire during Skillet.
I'm not allowed to Flambé after I lit the cat on fire again.

Vocals are boring. Instrumentals are pretty good.

Speaking of Skillet, my cousin went to tell me she was going to two concerts, a Skillet concert and a Flame (Christian rapper) concert...

"Skillet on Thursday, Flame on Friday!"
"Oh...so out of the frying pan into the fire?"

True story.

Instrumentals were... okay.

Vocals are alright when she's trying to sound like Nightwish.

However, the lyrics are so..... bland. I like it when Christian bands have deeper lyrics without just overusing standard Christian lines. See: RED, Theocracy, Neal Morse, etc.

*EDIT* looked up some of their other songs... they picked a pretty bad track to make into a music video.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jJzHSg2ntFE&feature=related <-- The vocals sound better when she's not singing English. For some reason her voice seems to lose some power when she sings English.

1. RED
2. Deep lyrics

You may only pick one of these things.

RED's lyrics are absolutely more subtle / better written than "When the Jesus metal explosion hits!"

True. That's like saying I'd rather eat stale bread than dirt though. Not that I disrespect anyone who likes RED, I've just never been shown anything by them that sounded better than some other band in the same genre.

@Chronic - Have you listened to anything on Until We Have Faces? It's like the best CD in my entire music collection (which is a fair amount of CDs, I can list them for you if you want). Srsly.

Feed the Machine + Faceless are their best two songs, but I still think End of Silence is their best album overall.

Is your collection christian music? There's only a handful of christian bands I enjoy, so if it's mostly christian music, I don't really have much interest. Otherwise though, I'd like to know what secular bands you find We Have Faces to be better than.

Most of my collection isn't christian bands either, but RED is among my top played artists along with names like Dream Theater, Symphony X, Between the Buried and Me, Avenged Sevenfold, Aryeon, etc.

My collection is mostly rock, some metal (according to iTunes genres), and some random other stuff. The bands are in the cut.
Spoiler: Mah Mewseek (hover to show)

I don't listen to more than a couple songs for several of the above bands, but that is the entirety of my music collection since you were curious (other than a couple soundtracks and some video game OSTs I have). No, it's not all Christian. :P

I would have to say that UWHF is currently my favorite album, though it might be because several of the songs (especially Not Alone) have come at a time where they were exactly what I needed based on where I am in life right now. If I was going to list my favorite bands they would be (in no particular order): Red, Nightwish, Demon Hunter (especially the Storm the Gates of Hell album), Evanescence, and Lacuna Coil.
