One popular strategy is to combine I am Holy with Heroes like Gabriel or Isaiah that can get back whatever enhancement you discarded--essentially turning I am Holy into a cost-free discard. I am Holy by itself is not enough for a hand control deck but you can combine it with cards like Simeon (Blue Hero), Job Overcomes (Blue Enhancement), Sorrow of Mary (Gray Enhancement) and Vain Philosophy (Evil Dominant) to keep your opponent's hand small. Another way to do hand control is to simply use cards like Rain Becomes Dust or Golden Cherubim to keep your opponent from drawing.

Denarius and Seven Years of Famine are a bit harder to use as you don't want to end up hurting yourself by discarding too much. This is especially true if your opponent has cannot be negated drawing options--you'll end up hand controlling yourself because your opponent will still have the card advantage if he's been drawing and you haven't.
