Ok so... I've made at least 5 to 7 different version of my most recient oddball combo, and its time to come up with a new one. SO.... I have a proposal to you all:
Present me with an underused card and/or card type that COULD have some potential for making an offense, but is never/rarely used. This means no Strength in weakness or SAless enhancements. If I can work it out, but I decide it wouldnt work enough of the time, I'll post it. If I absolutely fall in love with it... I'll PM it to you and we keep it secret. ;)
So... think up the most underused cards you can! I love a good challenge.
*EDIT* Also, don't expect em within a day unless I happen to stumble on the answer that fast... some may take time.
*EDIT 2* List of ideas I have built into a deck so far:
First Strike / Matthew.
-
First strike cards.
-
Matthew. Make a useful deck using Matthew, and I will forever bow down to you.
-
Both are done. I need to do a test run or two and see how much I like it before it gets posted.
-
Deacons Nuff Said. Even though ive already done that :P
-
How do you feel about Mordecai and Job?
-
Decons are a possibility.
Job i can most likely use, hes awesome.
Mordechai is a little tricky.
-
Mordechai is op'd. :-p
-

Pot of manna
Cards like this, while its not exactly IMPOSSIBLE, its VERY hard to build into a deck. Same way G Cow is rarely used in actual combos, its one of those "Incase they have X, this should stop em" type cards. However, Pot of manna is quite difficult to use if nobody uses side battles, so mabye If we can get everyone to use side battles?

So Judas only on EC's?

Apostle's packs

I've done it. With three nails. OUCH! it's really nice. Okay.... only heroes with no special abilities. Although.... that's what I'm gonna be doing. compare notes?
-
Yeah, also, if anyone else wishes to take a crack at ideas listed in here, feel free; I love to see creativity.

SHHHHH we have to convince them side battles are useless!

Almost all odball combos won't work most of the time, and even when they works some of the time there isn't enough advantage to justify using them. I admire you creativity but just keep in mind that these decks will lose almost every time to a good deck. That is why it is almost pointless to use them in tournament play. Orange is an odball sorta combo brigade which is why few people use it.
-
I laugh at that.
I gave up 4 souls all Nats with my oddball deck, 3 in one game (good work Kirk). Don't tell me oddballz don't work. I'm sure Lambo would agree that oddballz do in fact work, and quite well.

Kirk is so 1337 at this game, if there was a rule against putting your Redemption decks on steroids I think we would need to test Kirk's decks.
-
I have a feeling that that is a mutually exclusive group that is not allowed to exist on this board. ;)
I agreee.

Lawls. Hobbit his combo (which I know) is pure wyn. I know only one way to stop it. Also oddball, like a deck with no heroes relying on deck d/c with seemingly insignifigant in the deck? :-p (15th whooo)
-
Two years ago Heroless was an oddball deck that "could never win" and "no one ever used".
-
Most "oddball" ideas are simply just great ideas in rough form. You gotta give them time to be tweaked and improved.
-
+1 to the three posts above this.
(Yeah I +1'd myself, what now?)
-
Makes me glad I disabled the karma :p ;)

Build a deck around generous widow. I know she's awesome... but most people won't use her cause she hurts you too. but I think you could make that work, right? ;)
-
Elishama, Jehoram, Agur, Tithe, etc. - all the cards that say, "Place an enhancement on a hero, and the next time he enters battle it activates." - are all pretty underused.

I already have one of these, paired with ehud and SS. The deck is 70 so most decks will deck out before my widow reduces your hand to 0 then ehud CTB small peoples.

you obviously haven't played his best deck of all... ;)
-
Oh, you know what's really underused? David's Tent - I'd love to see a deck that made that useful.
-
Sure it could be useful; cards like I am Holy definitely would use that.
How about cards that are placed on lost souls? I haven't seen that used much.
-

I Am Holy? "Upon activation, holder may discard a good card from hand to make an opponent discard an evil card from hand. If opponent has no evil cards in hand, opponent must reveal hand." Is that what you're talking about?
-
make a feast of trumpets/generous widow deck. use cards that involve you and your opponet

As fireninja said... I've made a NASTY deck using the placer heroes.

Two years ago Heroless was an oddball deck that "could never win" and "no one ever used".
I started playing heroless when Angelwars came out. A tournament host actually e-mailed Doug because she was sure I was cheating! She also thought any deck over 100 cards automaticly makes it type II, so....

XD poor lady. I made my heroless right before AW was released. Got more people laughing at me then calling me cheating though. XD
