The Fall of Man (New deck ideas anyone?)

Soooo I just purchased 2 sets of the fall of man. I want to build a competitive deck. I would like to be competitive in the tournaments this year. Didn't know if anyone had any good deck ideas? I'm more "noob" then anything else but I've played the game for several years.
When in doubt, always follow your nose!

I'm with you in the more 'noob' category, but I have given it some thought (for what it's worth). Besides the clear flood survivor and Genesis themes emphasized, I think cards that destroy support cards (cities, fortresses, sites, artifacts, etc.) are now a necessary part of every deck (not that they weren't, but with the advent of cities they seem even more crucial) and I personally try to use at least 5-10 cards that fulfill this purpose in my decks.

With this in mind, I think Isiah/Assryians will be an especially viable deck, with cards like Assyrian siege army and siegeworks. Also, the Mighty Warrior is also a great way to enhance the speed, and a decent amount of pale green cards that although they seem like they were made with antideluvians in mind, they definitely still work with general pale green decks. There are also several good green cards as well, such as hope, and the three CBP plagues.

I hope this was helpful, and I wish you luck in finding a competitive deck!

It's possible this is correct but on the flip side more support cards means less "real" cards like characters and enhancements. It might become a viable strategy to avoid destroying the support cards completely and try to destroy all their offensive or defensive characters.

That makes sense generally, but almost every deck now has recursion as apart of it's support cards. (Eternal covenant, chariot of fire, etc.). Without a way to eliminate those, most territory or character destruction is usually for nuaght. Although I suppose it does depend also on how your trying to win, either by attrition or just rescuing souls ASAP.

Pretty positive setup decks aren't going to be viable between red/gold and flood survivors

Throne is hard to go wrong with.

Clay is still phenomenal. Imo clay/white has got the best value atm relatively speaking. Woman with Wages?

#JETPRIEST ? Or #NERFEDPRIEST ?  ;D

Speed will still slay.. When most people are playing Redemption and a few people are playing the trick pony you have to go with what you think will give you the most wins consistently.

Will the trick pony win nationals?

Flood Survivors just got more dangerous to use thanks to the most welcome change to Rubble & Dust and the merciful A New Beginning fix, though I maintain they are among the top 3 offenses to set up (somewhere alongside Music/Martyrs and Samuel/Throne).

Other blue (Jacob's sons/Abraham and cohorts) are very solid with many varying builds. The trap in blue is to not deck too many support Enhancements (Well Reopened, Faith of Sarah, etc) since blue has so many good ones.

Job is interesting in that it could win a lot, but it's so boring I personally wouldn't use it.

Red has strong characters and Enhancements, along with one of the best setup Heroes in the game (David the Shepherd) who does not trigger Music Leader. Though Red is still less consistent than other top offenses (lacking reliable recursion, multiple setup options, and immediate Reserve access), if the opponent cannot disrupt its bands early they will be in trouble.

Gold is still great, especially now with Othniel's Reserve grabs and Angel Under the Oak in general.

Green didn't get much but The Watchman & Ezekiel still wreck.

Teal is a bit dangerous with R&D and even Shipwreck (which may make a resurgence thanks to Babel), but if you have Shrine to Artemis and Glory of the Lord you're probably good.

Mostly, what was good last year stayed good, as long as you have counters to what new cards the opponent might deck (Babel, Golden Calf, etc). Just find a way to fit in David's Census, and you're also good. ;)

#JETPRIEST ? Or #NERFEDPRIEST ?  ;D

:miss: Is this a reference to Captive Priest? That's one of the handful of cards I don't remember changing at all; did it get nerfed? Or, is it a reference to a deck type (Tabernacle Priests or some variant)?
If you were to go on a trip... where would you like to go?
