Good Cards Only

A discussion in general chat of discord got me thinking about making a "good alignment only" deck. I know there was the national champ a few years ago who only had ECs, but could a good-only deck be made? This could mean no neutral cards either (artifacts, sites, dual-alignment)

I was thinking hand-disruption or board control would be the best bet, otherwise it's just a race. Here's some cards I'm thinking could fit the bill.

Heroes
Jonah (PoC)
Habakkuk
Elisha (PoC)
Shem
Cherubim (FooF)
Joshua, the Conqueror (LoC)
Eliud, the Revolutionary / Eliud, the Pious (LoC)
Philip's Daughters (PC)

Good Enhancements
Sign of Jonah
Habakkuk Stands Watch
David’s Proclamation (LoC)
Boaz’ Resolve (LoC)
Helmet (LoC)
Impartial Judgment (LoC)
Love at First Sight (LoC)
Plague of Boils (LoC)
Plague of Lice (LoC)
A New Beginning
Eyes to See
The Dove Returns
His Name
Authority of Christ (Promo)

Covenants
Covenant with Philista

Fortresses
House of Prayer

I know it's a jumble of cards, but what do y'all think? Could this idea become a reality?

Not sure I follow why you selected some of the cards you did, but the idea of a "defenseless" deck has been around for many, many years. Though there has not been any in recent years, back in the early 2000s, there were several players who piloted defenseless T1 2P decks to high finishes at major tournaments. I myself had a deck that included only one EC (whose only purpose was to start a side battle for my Heroes so I could draw faster) and a couple evil dominants, which I used to win T1 multi-player at 2004 and 2006 Nationals. (The T1 multi-player category has more often seen defenseless decks -- or decks with defenses only meant to draw faster and not necessarily block).

One of the reasons a T1 2P defenseless deck was viable back then was because you used to be able to rescue your own Lost Souls with Son of God and New Jerusalem. This made it possible to "block" with a few of your good cards, and thereby stall the opponent who would otherwise be getting a free rescue any time you had a LS available.

Since the rule was changed with that, I don't think defenseless decks could be considered in the top tier of decks. That being said, it could be a fun strategy to attempt. Using tricks like Delivered/Burial Shroud along with cards like Jonah could serve to stall the opponent long enough to win (especially if you build the deck in such a way as to increase your odds of going first).

Have you checked the REG?
Have you looked it up in ORCID?

Because he said good alignment only I think any Artifact or Site would also be excluded.
May you prosper greatly!

That will definitely add to the challenge! Edited as such.
