Some notes about theme and specific card choices - Typically when building a color-specific "theme" deck I want to stick to the colors I've chosen - Not how I would advice building under normal circumstances. Despite these restrictions however, I feel that we have a fairly solid deck here.
The offense plays like a budget Musician offense. By limiting myself to "Not Clay" I'm missing out on Overcome, Music Leader and Word of Christ all of which are amazing.
Mordecai can play the battle winners provided CBN, works best with Words of Encouragement.
The initiative heroes (Hannah, Kinsman, Fearless Traveler) can play Lamb's Righteousness and die. (Lamb's is a concession - It's Silver, which is a lot closer to white than Clay)
In order to fit some blue in we decided to play Job. Blue, really, really doesn't play well with other colors (Besides Green and Silver.) So we play Job - He's a beastly character that's hard to take down even without Dust for back-up. Because we're playing other humans Job's Faith is out. But we do get to Reserve Day of Fury (One of only two cards that has both Blue and White on it) (And another Silver concession) Day of Fury can also be played on Woman with Child and 24 Elders, it actually fits this theme deck remarkably well!
Note that two of our Evil Characters (Leviathan and Behemoth) are also technically Blue. We also have both Blue/Crimson DAE slotted. So we actually got to a surprising amount of blue when I thought I might have to do without.
For Red we play Evil Crimson (With a little brown and one black because Betrayal is just too good)
Fairly standard Babylonian fare here. Merchants doesn't work well with the Animals, and maybe they should go, but I think it works. He helps set up Lamb's.
Decided against the Magician package because I was trying to stick to pure crimson as much as possible.
In the Reserve we have lots of Covenants and Curses for our "Speed" engine to snag. I am Creator is Red! and helps us get rolling early. I am Holy is Blue! and can maybe sneakily win some games. Because I sacrificed some power for Theme I compensated on offense by playing a few more Good Enhancements than I typically would. I should have plenty of fodder for I am Holy. I also slotted A Child is Born in the Reserve for Woman with Child to grab in case I run into an Orange wall.
Thoughts?
