House of Rimmon really doesn't give that much protection (ie. doesn't stop Holy Grail) and doesn't really give good side benefits either.  I would drop it for one of the Snare EEs to bump up your Raider's Camp theme.

BenHadad isn't nearly as good a king as Cushan Rishathaim who makes your opponent have to play 2 GEs to win instead of 1.

It's too bad that there aren't any generic Syrians (other than archer) to band to with Shobach.  Maybe someday he'll be useful :)

Namaan’s Chariot and Horses (FF)
Type: Evil Enh. • Brigade: Gray • Ability: 2 / 2 • Class: Weapon • Special Ability: Interrupt the battle and draw two cards. If used by a unique character, you may play the next Enhancement. • Play As: You may interrupt the battle and draw 2. If used by a unique character, you may play an enhancement. • Identifiers: OT, Depicts a Weapon • Verse: II Kings 5:9 • Availability: Faith of our Fathers booster packs (None)

It's fun to run themed decks, however if your going to be competitive against top decks/players, then you have to know what the best cards are and how to beat them.

Against a local playgroup this defense looks strong. Personally, I would love to see a prophets offense paired with this, including A New Beginning with your House of Rimmon.

Mayhem is just too strong to not include.

Gray Evil Characters: 6
   King Ben-Hadad I
   King Hazael
   King Rezin
   Naaman
   Syrian Archer
   The Strong Force

It's hard to gain initiative in battle with such high numbers. It's like everyone wants the horsies in this defense.

Expect all your EC's abilities to be negated.

King Rezin needs a Damascus site in play. CBN Banding is good right now. CBN Capture only works if you stop thier Obadiah's Cave b/c they are going to negate your Raider's Camp.

Your best bet would be side battles on offence to pull off shenanigans.

I've used Syrian defense already.  I completely erased that deck because if found that Syrians aren't strong enough on their own.  But that's only my opinion.

Dont get me wrong, as I suggested prophets- my first thought was red b/c of Naaman. Red/Teal seems good. Red/Purple ok. Side Battles are just a good way to get around a straight foward player who negates all your EC's besides Cov/w Death. Alot of players will just throw down all thier cards waiting for thier opponent to play that mayhem, and this opens them up to a well timed side battle. Wrath of Satan or Great Image and now they have to recoup. Not so hard in today's meta with all the offensive recursion going on these days with AutO and Wheel/Call's floating around.

Ok i might end up staying with red then because ahimelek is so much fun to use. but prophets are look good to so i guess i will make up my mind when the time comes.

Laban is also an Assyrian. There's a 9/9 gray version from the E/F deck that has no special ability. I prefer the state promo which is gray/pale green and 2/7 with an ability that really doesn't matter for your deck.

If you include Laban I would also include Balaam, even though he's not a Syrian. Again, there are 2 versions, a gray 6/7 with no SA and a Pale Green version with a very nice SA that allows him to use gray enhancements. If you were to include both of these magicians you'll definitely want to include Magic Charms.

The Evil Characters you're currently using are mostly royalty so a purple King David will give you a very hard time. They also don't get initiative. A 3rd Evil Character that will help with both of those things, and should probably be in every gray defense, is Sabbath Breaker.

I like your selection of Enhancements. I would also include Gold Shield. When used correctly it's usually going to win you the battle.

If you want a third Magician that comes in handy more then you think it would The False Prophet is a sweet card to use! I cant tell you how many opening hands that 8/12 has saved me from a opening TSA, Captain ect ect. attack!

Also if your going with some more grey Magicians never forget about False Prophets those 4/4 dudes from the prophets with their cool art will get you inish more often then you think!

I don't think False Prophets are magicians.  However, you could use Users of Curious Arts, giving you a third magician that has access to Gray enhancements.
