Peace Treaty is also really good, with Cherubim to ET.

King David.  He practically ignores some entire themes.
If creation sings Your praises so will I
If You gave Your life to love them so will I

Watchful Servant, but that strategy is only really good in turtles. The rest can be incorporated into other decks fairly easily.

There's also Witnesses to Creation, but that's so 7? 8? years ago...

Peace Treaty is also really good, with Cherubim to ET.

Peace Treaty
"OT Hero ignores one evil brigade except orange or may band to a human hero."

I had an entire T2 offense that centered around this... never played it at any official events where a judge would have been involved.  I started getting an uneasy about the "OT hero" part of the ability and asked a few guys at Nationals. We all came to the sad conclusion that "OT hero" refers to the character upon which it is played (in this case Ethiopian Treasurer) rather than being a "target OT hero" sort of ability.

I would positively LOVE to be proved wrong though  ;)

To be perfectly honest that language always confuses me. A quick search of the rulings on the boards shows that multiple elders have confirmed that you can choose the O.T. Hero that Peace Treaty targets.

Yeah I remember you, Kevin, and I just starring at the card talking about it. I'm entirely fine with either interpretation. It either has a qualifier (if this card is played on an OT hero) or makes a target (select OT hero ignores). In MTG terms one would expect to see something like "target creature" whereas Redemption tends to use "select" in those cases.

Back on the Pre-Block Ignore train for you J-Bones:
Purple, Blue, and Silver offense would Yield:
Jacob + RTC
Cherubim + ET + Peace Treaty
Cherubim + ET + Spiritual Warfare (Three Nails)
King David
Widow
Last and least, Witness to Creation ???

Running Sadducees (with Chief Priests) with it allows you to use Urim and Thummim to "fool proof" your RA ("oh look, they have all royalty and no CM") as well as giving you a protect fort to enjoy ET+AoCP to wipe their field.

Ahem, do you not recall Kansas City Nationals in 2007? Granted I was using 2 decks, but I believe I used the Witnesses Deck in at least half my games. I remember one game where my 5 successful rescues were all 5 Witnesses (plus SoG/NJ).

How did it work? How did you recur it? etc..

No need for recursion, since we could have 5 back in the day. Obviously Three Nails was included to limit their blocking options to The Serpent and Leviathan. The offense was Teal/Silver I believe. Josh and Phinehas with Zeal and Michael/Angel's Sword with 7th Trumpet in addition to the Witnesses. I believe in the game I mentioned earlier, I ran into a defense with Judas so I just waited until I drew the Witnesses. I used all the Site access angels so I didn't have to commit extra card slots for Site access, which allowed me to use a couple copies of Burial Shroud to stall until the Witnesses were ready.

I'll see if I can dig up the decklist just for fun.

That's what I was referring to, just couldn't remember which Nationals it was.

aaaaand the big missing piece of information = Type 2 Deck, lol. After 8+ years I should have learned to always default translate Justin's comments to "Type-Two-ish" ;)

Haha, yeah...pretty sure it wouldn't be possible to use a single Witnesses 5 times in one T1 game. Usually the offense would start pretty slow, but it was devastating in the endgame when I would have 3 or 4 turns in a row with a Witnessed Angel coming back to make a rescue.

Saint of Virtue and spiritual warfare and three nails

And one I thought of myself, use gathering on Eve. Use Gold shield to convert her to white. Band her to ET and play Scarlet line. It will never work.

There's a better way to do that. By better, I mean cooler and much less likely.

Some people do: Maharai (warriors) to Claudia (womens) to ET and play Scarlet Line.

This was one of my brother's inventions from a long time ago. I'm sure others came up with it too but he still have his deck. He used to throw Armorbearer on top to play Spiritual warfare. He then had RTC and Peace treaty and scarlet line. He still kicks butt with it in multiplayer.

I found it...clearly I broke Ignore before The Garden Tomb. I was sneaky though and only used the deck in 3 of my games so people wouldn't get too upset about it. (Won all 3 of those games.)  8)
