I have been thinking of making a deck with this kind of a defense, and I wanted to get you guys' opinions....

Hophni, son of Eli
Phinehas, son of Eli
King Jehoiakim
Women as Snares
The Rabshakeh
Messenger of Satan
Prince of this World
  Crippling Demon
  King of Tyrus
All Hope Lost
Fear of Danger
Judah's Sin
Palsy
  The Power of Death
Achan's Sin
Infectious Disease
Death of Unrighteous
Forgotten History
Confusion
Two Thousand Horses

I wouldnt put in face of death since it is BROWN and this is a PALE GREEN defense...brown wont help you much although brown has alot of disease enhancements.

A couple of other additions could be Leprosy Leprosy reduces a hero by 0/2 each turn and when the hero is discarded by leprosy it spreads to another hero in the territory.  also, you could use the pale green curse incurable instead of the orange set aside.  they both do the same thing and in a pinch you can use incurable as an enhancement if you need to.

I would also add the pale green panic demon.  if you play DoU on that panich demon, you protect the rescue and then are able to paralyze a hero with that demon by using his SA.

I have a similar defense and I found that it is tough to pull off against an angel offense.

Wow - I now feel extremely stupid. :P

Sorry, had a FoD-based defense on my mind when I read this...

Incurable would probably go in this deck as well, but I wouldn't have it replace TPoD because I don't like using up artifacts slots if it isn't absolutely necessary.

Thank you for pointing out Panic Demon; I hadn't even thought of him before! He's going in for sure.

As for Leprosy (as well as Face of Death), the point of this defense is not to discard my opponent's heroes; the point is to make it so that all of them are unable to block. I use All Hope Lost, Fear of Danger, Judah's Sin, Palsy, and now Panic Demon as well, paired with The Power of Death and battle-winners such as Achan's Sin and Infectious Disease to completely immobilize my opponent's offense. I don't know many people who have tried something like this before, but I think it would be really fun and interesting to try. Sorry if the title "Disease Defense" lead you in the wrong direction, but discarding heroes was not my goal here.

I've used this idea in type two before.  It works pretty well but takes a little while to actually set up enough to stop the opponent from rescuing.  It is especially effective against people who use and rely on unique Heroes.

Consumed by Doubt also works well when combined with Dissuading Speech.  All Hope Lost also works well with Dissuading Speech.  Deceiving Spirit and Two Possessed by Demons may also prove useful.

This is more commonly known as a "paralysis" defense and has been one of pale green's (many) strengths for some time now.

Pale Green and Orange actually blend well in the "placed cards" department, even though not all of them stop a character from entering battle.  If only there was a way to use placement cards outside of battle, so you weren't forced to wait for a block and "waste" a turn setting it up.

Are you hinting that this type of defense may be enhanced in the coming set with some cards that enable this ability?

If so me likey

Okay, I've made a few changes to the defense; it seems a bit large, so I would like advice on how to shorten it at least to being usable in a 63 card deck. Thank you all for your input! :)

Hophni, son of Eli
Phinehas, son of Eli

King Jehoiakim
Women as Snares
Messenger of Satan
Panic Demon
Prince of this World
  Crippling Demon
  Deceiving Spirit
  Demon Behind the Idol
Consumed by Doubt
Fear of Danger
Judah's Sin
Palsy
  Evil Armor
  The Power of Death
  Sinning Hand
  Two Possessed by Demons
  Worshipping Demons
Achan's Sin
Infectious Disease

Dissuading Speech
Death of Unrighteous
Forgotten History
Confusion

Incurable
Altar of Ahaz

With those taken out it brings it to 20 cards.  I don't think you need Incurable, especially when you don't have All Hope Lost.

I can understand taking out Hophni, Phinehas, and Incurable, and maybe even Infectious Disease, but I would think that taking out Achan's Sin would really shorten my already thin battle-winner supply. :-\

Hmm... Sinning Hand, TPbD, Worshiping Demons, and Forgotten History can all win battles.  DoU as well is often a failed rescue.

I guess that sorta makes 5....Is that enough for a 63 deck, even with all the other placers? Maybe I could have a super small offense and make the deck 56....
