Paralyze Deck

Hey guys,

I'm trying to build different types of decks to introduce to my young play group members.  I was wondering if anyone had a deck built with the pale green paralyze cards, and maybe added in the Maltese Viper, The Serpent and things like that.  This deck would focus on only trying to paralyze the heroes, and my heroes would probably create side battles to be able to use these abilities without them being negated.  If anyone has one like this that would be great, or if someone wants to build one, I'm not the most creative so it would be helpful.  Thanks!

I haven't built one, but one thing you should definitely use is Fearfulness. It works really well on the Serpent, and even better if you include Foreign Wives or Silly Women. Another nice card you might consider is All Hope Lost. Combine that with Death of Unrighteous or Forgotten History, and it can be a nasty little combo.

Of course the biggest hindrance to paralysis is the prevalence of Peter. There are a variety of counters you can consider, but one that I would definitely think about is Covenant with Death. You can deactivate it when needed, but it will not only stop Peter but pretty much any other healing they may have. You can use Balaam to recur it as needed also.

You pretty much build a entire deck around All Hope is Lost. I took my All Hope is Lost deck to Boston Nats 2010 and I think I got like 11th or 13th place or something like that. So I won like 5 out of 7 games? or something like that I don't remember anymore. Amazing considering I didn't have access to any cards past TexP and my offense was red :P.

The key is to use All Hope is Lost at the PERFECT time. Time All Hope is Lost correctly and you can paralyze your opponents entire offense in one fell swoop.

With Wizards (FINALLY BEING PRINTED!!!!) this opens up your options quite a bit. All Hope is Lost can now be used multiple times!!!! Twonky tech cards are very much your friend! Five Foolish Virgins is still one of my favorite cards in the game. With all of Pale Green's wacky cards (All Hope is Lost, Five Foolish Virgins, various Assyrian discarding cards, Achan's Sin, wacky cards like Palsy!, ect...) and Wizards ability to recur all of them you can have a VERY fun deck.

Shoot me a PM if you actually decide on making a paralyze deck. I might be able to drudge up my old Boston Nats decklist and my playtesting deck list from back in TexP when Wizards was on the list.

It seems like you probably want Incurable and Baalam (Di) in that deck. ::)
Have you visited the Land of Redemption today?

On top of that Incruable + Confusion of Mind + Balaam makes for a great anti FTBN or anti banding block!

Chris, I'll look at it tonight and build one. Obviously I dont have many TPC yet, but I'll get us a list together.
All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us- Gandalf in LOTR
