Palsy gaining strength now?

I think with the new style of deck building, such as more in battles, and reliant on hero's SA's, that TC/palsy cards that hinder hero's on your turn can be very strong now. Trying to get some input on what you guys think. Do you think cards such as, Fear of Danger w/ High Places, Pretension, Beheaded, Image of Jealousy and Destructive Sin are not staples, but very valuable defensive cards? I'm toying around with a split color type 2 defense that utilizes TC or Fear of Danger, but have yet to find my favorite, or most powerful mix yet. Any suggestions? One model I liked used Beheaded, Spreading Mildew, Fear of Danger, and Forgotten History, Wonders Forgotten, with a couple 2k horses/Egyptian Horses. Inputs?

I toyed with this idea as well. I would have mixed Orange/Pale Green together, using pale green's Fear of Danger, and orange's Destructive Sin (to negate I am Grace). It'd have to be used with DD as well. I think it could be decent, but I'm not sure it could be a top defense.

The problem with these style of defences, is, and probably always will be that for every palsy, etc. that you put in, you limit your self in true battle winners by one card - It is rare that you'll be able to take out every hero the opponent has, and thus eventually they'll get through because you have no battle winners.

One model that I liked in the past included All Hope Lost + Death of Unrighteous to take out numerous heroes in one go.

Perhaps if you paired it with a Gold offence to utilize SWJ's to take out more unique characters.

Besides that I have to agree with Ring Wraith that there are simply to many counters - I am Grace, Lifting the Curse, King Hezekiah, Abe's Kids.

You could probably side battle with Assyrian Archers to take out the heroes you can't paralyze. It should buy you a bit of time, at least.

I will let you in on a little secret ;)

If you can take out an opponents offence less one character with just your evil characters, then these style defences are great. Simply continue to drop the parylitics on that one character (Hack cough Thad-Rad) that gives you the trouble.

Orange/PG is actually one of the strongest defences you can make (IMHO)

True. You pretty much have to commit yourself to being willing to have Darius' Decree up the entire game if you are going to try a placer defense. That said, there are very few artifacts more useful than DD in T2, so that is not too large of a sacrifice.

Yeah if you keep DD up and get a destructive sin on one of their heroes your opponent will have very few or no options to get rid of placed cards.
Life is what you make of it.

If you are going that route you may as well play Destructive sin's and cut out the middle man high places.

btw was your title ment to be a pun?

You actually dont most of the harder to get rid of place enhans do not have the word place in them.

I would like to say that these types of decks are very strong and work quite well I spent about two years pre texp and the year texp came out making these types of decks. The only thing you need to really have  to fully peruse the possibilities of full out palsy spam fest is you have to make a large deck some where imo around 77 works quite nice. You have to have a nice off set of palsy to battle winners to make it possible to take out every thing. In all reality you just need to bank on taking out around oh 8-12 characters and your deck is set. Once I get time ill post my 77 palsy deck.

Other Options are a Brown/Pale Green Face of Death style deck where you use Face of Death to kill a boat load of characters then you All Hope is Lost + Siege the rest of them. There is also the Wrath of Satan/Pale Green similar idea but less fun.
