FBTN Heros-

Benaiah, WC
Ira, WC

Artifacts can completely destroy this offense.  Confusion of Mind is commonly used, but you can discard a GoYS or Harvest Time to deal with that.  However, G-Cow, Holy of Holies, and A-Pole are also commonly used.  So you will need many ways to deal with those.  I would suggest Captured Ark, DoN, and Lying Unto God on defense.

I have thought of this type of deck as well (as we discussed), and I believe that adding the three cards Hidden Treasures, A New Beginning, and your favorite Green prophet (I'd suggest Di Anna) might help with this.  Reason being that ANB might remove some artifacts, sites, ECs that would be bothering you.  It's the concept of the popular ANB Type 2 decks, but in miniature.  Definitely have Unholy Writ in there too, as a possible free block.  Be sure to have Hopper and Am slave, and maybe even Sabbath Breaker (who you could play Grapes on as a defensive move).

Anyway, just a thought.

A New Beginning.  A good way to temporarily get rid of annoying artifacts, sites, and ECs of opponent.

Rumor has it the greatest Redemption player MN has ever seen plays King Asa in his FBTN decks. Although I'm not sure on your local meta. I've seen Confusion of Mind once last year, and I didn't see A Pole or G Cow. HoH is pretty common though.

I'd add more of the armour of gods. Awesome enhancements.

Also, don't abuse ANB. ANB's purpose is to take 5 turns in a row.

some comments:

  • fbtn ls is the most important lost soul for fbtn (stops 4 of the best souls against it: nt, female, cbp, and punisher). because of this, hopper is a bad idea.
  • tas is iffy as well. nazareth should be a staple in all fbtnb decks (due to stopping one of the best cultures against it, phillies and their outpost). it also helps to stay ahead of the draw by being anti-opponents-mayhem, allowing fbtnb to set up quickly which they're notorious for.
  • i have found grapes to be fairly useless in fbtnb, since as stated previous, they usually set up quickly and are ahead of the game. thats not to say it cant still be useful offensively by taking out a pesky philly or herod, or by being confusion of mind food.
  • i also know one of the best fbtnb players includes asa in his build, but in my own experience over a number a years i have maybe come across a gcow or apole maybe once or twice, and that just doesnt warrant a deck slot in my deck. especially since both are also easily handled by don and cap'd ark. hoh will probably see increased play though due to herods temple.
  • the armors of god are not necessary at all for fbtnb. whereas they fit into standard fbtn decks, you're merely replacing those enhancements with 5, 6, and 7 offense heroes, which is worlds better. a properly built fbtnb deck after the heroes are done should have little room for enhancements, and those are usually best catered towards speed, counters, or other win strats that do not involve fbtn.

missing heldai.

need
abishai (ki)

also, if you want a larger offense yet, you could always add a non-wc captain chain.

seraphim, simeon, jacob, coth (there are many more than this, but i'm just listing an example)  :)

abishai is kind of iffy because he only bands to the reds. i favor getting the most versatility out of my cards, so he usually gets the cut early. but he could work in a red-orientated offense that abuses davids mighty men, davids triumph, and a soldiers prayer.

a captain exclusive chain is recommended if you do use the captain (which you should). simeon and jacob are good because they can both work with captain without the other, and sim can band to jacob. seraphim is another one of those iffy cards because he only bands to a couple specific cards that require other cards and must end in cap.
