Title: No Defense
Post by: hi123 on October 04, 2010, 06:20:04 AM
I was thinking, for my upcoming tourney I would use a deck with no defense. I am not sure if I should do this, but her is my Idea-

50 Cards. -

Lost Souls-

Revealer
2-Line
First Round Protect
Anti-Dom
Female Only
NT Only
Anti-Burial
Hopper

Heros-

Moses, SA
Ira, WC
Benaiah, WA
COTH, WC
Shamuth, WC
TSA, WA

Isrealite Archer
Asahel
ET

Phineas
Ahimiaz
Hur
Joshua the High Priest
Amaziah the High Priest
Aaron, DI
Claudia

Good Hero Enhancements-

First Fruits
Pentecost
Day of Atonement
Book of Hozai
Reach of Desperation
AOCP
Breastplate of Rightiousness
Helmet of Salvation

Evil Charactars-

Sabbath Breaker

Evil Enhancements-

None

Artifacts-

Unholy Writ
CA
Elijahs Mantle
Holy Grail

Forts-

WOP
The Name of the Lord

Sites-

Promised Land
Dragon Raid

DOMS-

SOG
AOTL
NJ
GOYS
Grapes
HT
FA
CM
DON

Concept= Baically, Deck out and try to make your opponent not have alot of EC's when you make RA's with your FBTN heros! I am still not sire about this though.

Might want to think about having a site-lock style (so you can stall them a couple more turns)

Jonathan Alstad took second with a defenseless deck at the biggest national tournament. go for it. I'd stick to one theme though.

honestly, do you have any decks that aren't FBTN or Speed? besides that weird heroless?

Hehe... This is for my tourney deck. When I get just the right tournament deck for me, then I am going to start building lots of casual decks!

Add Birth Foretold and maybe False Peace to play on Sabbath Breaker.  You also need Burial.  Wouldn't Aaron hurt you if they have HOH out?  Why Wall of Protection?  Do you care if they band to you if you don't intend to block anyway?

You make several great points!

The Disciple Aaron's protection is not "while remains in play," so there's no worries about their HoH.

Even on my quoteunquote defenseless decks, I splash some evil banding to nab their EC's when blocking a rescue attempt.  No one in my playgroups has ever had a WoP, so this works fairly well.
