Hey guys, so as most of you know by now I've built multiple decks to play against my new/young players. I am in need of expanding those decks and have long wanted to build decks based around particular identifiers, much like what YTG has. One thing I did want to do though was try to showcase as many different cards as possible and also not make any/every deck completely "over powered."
So here is what I came up with. I decided to take each color. I would make at least one "deck" of every "viable" identifier within that color. Next I made sure every "deck" had at least 2 negates (3 if possible) and 3 battle winners. There were two major rules within each "deck." 1) They MUST contain 9 characters (as many as possible with the identifier) and 9 enhancements. 2) I could only use each card once per color. This allows me to build very balanced decks and adding an offense and defense together with 7 Dominants & Lost Souls gives me a 10 card flex to allow reserve access if needed and utility cards to help make the deck better.
The reason I'm posting here is because I would like help from people who are MUCH better at deck building than myself. So here is what I'm looking for: Does a card need to be changed out to make one/all of the decks better? Is there a card I left out that really takes one of these decks from meh to pretty good? If so, PLEASE tell me. If you are willing to help, here are the few rules I would like to have followed:
1) Please leave a minimum of 6 characters that fulfill the identifier of the deck.
2) Please only use each card once per color. So if a card you want to use is already in another deck it would need to be replaced within the deck you are taking it from.
3) Don't hold back! You won't offend if you completely redo all of it. Again I don't mark myself as a good deck builder and that is why I'm putting them here. I do want as many decks as possible to help give my kids more free cards so I won't be removing a deck just to make the others better at this point though.
Thanks in advance for any help you offer!
