Cactus Game Design Message Boards

So for those of you who have kept up with what I've done with my playgroup at all.  You have seen me do "introduction" deck which is basically decks focused on one aspect like deck discard, and that is pretty much all that deck does.  So once my playgroup members finish that I don't really have anything else for them to do, but they still haven't faced "really good" decks, so I have come up with a different idea.  That idea is Identifier decks.  While I want these to be pretty competitive decks, I want them to be different from each other and here is what I mean.

Each identifier deck will include mostly characters from that certain identifier and the characters CANNOT be repeated within their color.  Cards that are pulled from other colors or utility cards can also ONLY be used once per color.  This gives players a look at what each color has to offer as far as characters and enhancements.  Lost Souls and Dominants are pretty much the only thing that can be included in any deck, and those will not be listed here.

So while I'm working on this some, I'm asking for help from anyone who might have done something like this in the past or is a better deck builder than me.  This does include EVERY card in the game so doesn't have to be limited except to what I said in the paragraph above.  Here is what I would like every deck to include:

8 Characters of that color (at least 6 with the specific identifier, bonus points if they all do)
8 Enhancements
4 Utility cards.

*I would like each deck to have a minimum of 2 negates/interrupts and 2 battle winners.  So some of the colors will have to double up on these.*

So what this does is lets me do 7 LS, 7 Dominants and then 20 cards for good and evil colors or identifiers and give me 54 cards of a 60 card deck.  This number gives me wiggle room if I need more reserve access or something else and that way I can add it.

There are SO many green cards it is crazy.  I could even throw together a "hodgepodge" prophet deck of at least decent characters and still have some really good enhancements left.

Antediluvian:

Greeks/Heretics overlap with a few of the stronger characters so if I'm reading your requirements correctly, one of those defenses would be lacking some oomph because Philetus, Hymemaes, and Diotrephes can only be used for greeks or heretics, not both.  You're going to have a similar thing with Giants/Philistines/Canaanites. (unless I'm reading incorrectly)

For your purple, the only good Israelite kings were David and Solomon.  All of the other good kings were of Judah after the kingdom divided after Solomon's death.  So a lot of your identifiers will say King of Judah.  If you had Saul, David, Jonathan, Solomon, Mephiboseth, Bathsheba, Abigail, that gives you 7 Heroes so maybe you include Jehu to get to 8.  But I say all that to say that you could have another set for purple of Kings of Judah because there are 8 of them. (Amaziah, Uzziah, Joash, Josiah, Joram, Asa, Hezekiah, Jehshaphat)
