Same decks

Who Agrees? There are way to many of the same decks in tournaments. There should be more variety. I almost never see solid colors (ex: blue/black) in type 1-2 . All splash. Here are the deck's I see most often-

1- The Garden Tomb(more teal tomb though.)

2- Captain Band

3- Fight by the Numbers

4- Abom

5- Zebulan

What I never See-

1- Two Colred- One single color for offense, and defense.

2- Site Lock (not seen in a tournament deck. And by site lock, I mean having alot of stuff to stop people to get into there sites. Not just having the sites in your deck with nothing to stop them.)

3- Heroless

4- Combo(king Amaziah, Jacob / Captain etc...)

5-Red

There needs to be more new stratigies.  I hope the new Disciples will help people make new stratigies, and not keep using the same deck!

Just remember that I won a local tourney with Red/Gray.

You mention Captain in "combos" you'd like to see more of?  Don't we have enough COTH already?

I'm not trying to be mean hi123, but do you use decks that are different from "the same decks everyone else is using"?  Every deck you've made over the last few months has some combination of TGT, Teal Speed, CotH banding chain, and ET + AoCP.  I understand that if you believe this is the only way to make a competitive deck, then all your decks will look like this.  But if you believe this is the only way to make a competitive deck, you lose some credibility when you wonder why everyone has the same deck.

Yes, COTH band chain is my favorite. But, now I have built a different deck. (not coth, or tgt.) It is Heroless.

Hopefully the new set opens back up a lot of different styles that give you a chance to win.  I've never liked playing whatever everyone else is playing because it's the easier way to win.  Speed back in the day and now TGT.  You honestly should be able to play 1 color on offense and defense and still have a great chance to win every match.

Hm, well I guess I need to make an appearance then because all of my decks lately have been 95% mono-colored.  I only end up splashing in KoT just to draw out AotL or a random priest that assists the brigade I'm using.  A fun site-lock deck might include the Joshua/Caleb combo that borrows/keeps sites so that you can limit access to your LoB...  I'm relatively new, but I have crazy deck ideas that are probably not common in any tournament.  I just have to learn how to make them tournament grade and then show up at larger tourneys.  Honestly, the hardest deck to beat would be one that you'd never expect, that was made to work in almost any situation, and has a defense geared towards blocking the most troublesome offenses.   I mean, if you expect teal/TGT, then don't you think a defense geared towards fortress/artifact destruction would be an excellent choice?  Use Romans Destroy Jerusalem with the Terrifying Beast to end their TGT/Zerubbabel's Temple and NT heroes that are in play.  Then focus on artifact destruction to mess with priests if they chose to use that.  That kind of thing basically made TGT a rarity in our playgroup.  I run mono defense usually, so there's always a good chance my defense can't be ignored by TGT.  Things like that can change the way other people play and increase your chances of winning...  Just a thought.  Anyway, adios for 7 weeks.

Just look out for territory destruction in a TGT deck.  A protect fortress will do just fine
