Cactus Game Design Message Boards

I have taken another look at my Egyptian defense and the main goal of the deck.  I have changed it some.  Here is the evil side of the deck:

Gold Evil Enhancements: 10
   Begging to go Back
   Egyptian Horses
   Egyptian Spear
   Enslaved by Egypt
   Mask of Fear
   Moses kills Egyptian
   Pagan Sacrifices
   Ruthless
   Take as a Slave
   Wonders Forgotten

The changes are:

1) I exchanged Photipher's Wife for Evil Spawn.  I did this to enhance the purpose of the deck (and to take the advise of everyone else and have a non-egyptian in my deck (though most said to have KOT but I don't have him))

2) I exchanged The Gods Of Egypt with Mask Of Fear.  Due to my multiple deck discard and the curse Oppressed And Robbed, I could utilize my stratagy without fear of a lot of effects.

3) I exchanged Pharaoh's Murderous Order with Wonders Forgotten.  This gives be another card to remove the cards I got rid of from the game (I also have Burning Up The Chaff).

4) There are two cards I would like to add but don't know where to put them or if I should add them.  The first one is Stealing (due to the deck discard and the drawing ability) and the second one is Wicked Community (I noticed that all but three deck discard would get rid of lost souls.  This card would help get them back).

Also, this is from my dream RTS list.  I do not have any ROA cards in this list.  Also, I use Artifact Destroyed because I only have one DON and that's in my main deck.  Whenever I do get the correct tin, I will add Given Over To Egypt into my deck (money is kind of tight right now so I don't have much free money to spend on cards).

Please give any advise you can.  It would be really appreciative (especially since the strategy that I'm using isn't consider a battle winner one (like CBN captures/conversions/ignores/etc).

Also, as always, if you think I should exchange any cards, please give a reason why.  I did think this list through a lot (with the cards I do have).

I don't know what you're using for offense but if you can fit in either The Thankful Leper or Zalmon, those guys will get back any souls you happen to discard or your opponent buries.

Offense is green prophets.  Unfortiantly, neither of them could fit .

That pairs very well with your deck discard theme. 

I know you didn't ask for advice on the offense but...  I assume you're using Hidden Treasures to discard stuff from their deck?

If it was me, I'd splash a little silver for Gabriel (warriors), maybe Angel of the Harvest and Seraph (who bands to green brigade prophets).  Two of those come in the same RoA tin as the Egyptians.

I might end up doing that since I have four non-prophet heroes still in my deck (though I do use Hur and have Midwives to keep bring him back ).

When your opponent reaches the bottom of their deck so you can't discard any more it's also fun to play A New Beggining so they have a little more deck to discard from.

In my experience playing deck discard, this has never happened to me. Granted, I only use one discarder that will d/c lost souls. Have you had problems with this?

I haven't actually tested the modified deck yet.  I will probably have a chance on Monday to test it out.

Thanks for all the advise everyone has given so far.  Any advise on the overall defense. Since I only have two battle winner (unless you could Wonders since it ends the battle), most my battles have to end with numbers (which I've seen is rare).  That's part of the reason why I added Mask Of Fear in (especially since I have Oppressed And Robbed ).  I've also notice that gold doesn't have any enhancement retrievers.  Any tips to help me?

Oppressed and Robbed already stops JT cold.

I like keeping Potiphar's Wife and adding Potiphar, especially if you include Pharaoh's Prison. That will keep your banding and capturing CBN.

It's hard to provide helpful insight if you don't read first.
