I've been thinking about this for a while and I wanted to get some other peoples' onions on the matter...
When building and playtesting decks, I am sometimes able to pull off multicolor offenses, but all my MC defenses (especially if they are more enhancement-based) fail miserably. I think this is because as the rescuer you have a choice between rescuing and not rescuing, but as a blocker, your only choices are blocking and giving away a soul. Thus, I can wait for my offense to draw the cards it needs before I go out, but I can't do the same for my defense, which means that if my opponent comes at me with a quick, strong offense, I simply cannot prepare myself in time.
Does anyone else have a similar problem? I was toying around with an orange/gray defense a bit ago, but I just couldn't get it to do what I wanted. My opening draws were never prepared enough for blocking sufficiently. So how do you guys get enhancement-reliant multi-color defenses to work?
