Title: A few quick questions
Post by: amelo on November 09, 2009, 08:52:13 PM
Hey everybody,

I haven't played Redemption for quite a while and I own like 1 or 2 of the new cards so could you guys kind of get me up to date:

What are the most common types of decks people are playing with right now. Speed, Standalone, maybe a more balanced deck?
Which brigades are the most powerful right now? I see that people seem to be using Philistines and Magicians and other new stuff like that. Could someone explain to me how to use these new strategies?

thanks,
Austin

Standalone is dead, dead, dead,
Most people I've seen either play speed or a rogue (one color for each) deck
The same stuff that was powerful before is good now but green has become even more powerful and has the potential to win nats. I used magicians along with Babylonians but they also work good with demons. For Philistines you use Philistine outpost to search for Philistine garrison and use that over and over

Standalone is alive, very much so.  Trembling Demon, if set up, is almost unstoppable.

Habakkuk says hi

CM says hi.  But really, maybe 1/10 decks will use him.  If they do, he is still just as vulnerable to HHI + all the immune to lone guys.

Standalone IMO is much more powerful now because of all the fort killers.  Don't have to worry much about TGT, and that is standalone's worst enemy.

Green laughs at Immunity - Plauge, Bears, Split Altar for HHI etc.

Wow, I'm just going to quit giving advice... I'm obviously the worst deck builder ever, no imagination, don't even know what half the cards do, play decks which require no skill since obviously I have none ;) And to top it all off Gabe is following me around correcting my mistakes. ;P
