T1 2-Player, Need new decks

So, I've had my fun with a TGT speed deck and now I want to make something new. I figured this was a good time with the recent release of the newest set.

I want to make 2 decks, but I'm torn between 3 different themes. I know one of the 2 will be Disciples (Fishing Boat, ftw), but for the second I don't know whether to do Prophets or Job. I've heard green prophets with Hidden Treasures is a good offense, but Job sounds like an interesting concept and might turn out to be a really fun deck.

Halp?

Well, scence you did a TGT Speed deck, why dont you do something slow? Just an idea. If you have not done FBTN yet, it is a good deck choice!

I want one of the two to be a competitive deck that I can reliably win with, which I think Disciples could be, and I'd be willing to do something more random and fun with the second deck. I'm not a big fan of FBTN (not my style), but I guess I could give it some thought.

Any suggestions for a good FBTN strategy?

for starters:
Moses w/sa & Cov. With Moses
Jacob & CotH (ki)
ira (ki)
benaiah (ki)
Shamhuth (ki)
Strong Angel (ki) & Angel's Sword

And add these:
Israelite Archer (ki)
helez (ki)
maharai (ki)
abishai (ki)
heldai
Asahel (tep)

The non-FBTN all band and are WC. They all band together in almost any order. Then the last one bands to the kings version ira, benaiah, or shamhuth. if the last character in the banding chain is israelite archer, he can band to ira, benaiah, shamhuth, OR strong angel or captain of the host (which once again must be warrior class). I like it and you usually will have a 2 or 3 character FBTN-band by your second turn.

oops, also---

make sure to include the negate LS and I am Salvation to take care of nasty LS that kill the banding chain.
you'll also need captured ark/DON to kill holy of holies/household idols.
Cov. with David could also be an option, but it's a little clunky for my taste.

Persians, magicians/demons, and Herods are my new favorite defenses, but Babylonians are still the best!  8)

My new green prophet/teal/TGT/watchful servant deck has a demon/babylonian defense, and i really like it. I keep forgetting to add WoP to it though. it's really easy for your opponent to use without WoP :(

Captured Ark to shuffle HH Idols.
CotH + Jacob + Tribal Elder + Seraphim = WYN.
Wool Fleece so no evil banding.
Gathering of Angels and Abraham's Servant to Ur are fun for FBTN.
That's the best I have.

I'd say try Job. Except, warning: You'll probably find that will be your more competitive deck.
As a national champion, I support ReyZen deck pouches.

I vote for my variation of Lambo's combo. Infinite CBN battle winner recursion that you can play before your opponent can play a dominant ftw!

I've added FBTN to my list of possibles, but I'd still like to get more info on the other types, too.

I'm not opposed to having both be competitive, as long as at least one is still fun to play :P. Job sounds like it would be fun, can you provide more info on it?

Sounds very interesting. Can you tell me more? ;)

Necrobump, lol.

I settled on a Disciples/Phillies decklist as is probably obvious now due to the other thread. I'm still trying to figure out what I want to do for my second deck.

I didn't know Teal could do a good FBTN....

The combo doesn't work according to all the elder's I've talked to :(. It was as follows:

Get Leper into your opponents territory via SWS banding or converts and Stalks of Flax. Then, gather 2x Providing Angel. RA with Providing Angel, grab Torment from discard, band to Providing Angel, grab Brass Serpent from discard, band to Ashahel, choose Leper to block. Leper decreases you so play Brass Serpent, which discards Leper so play Torment. The idea was healing got around rules of initiative, but I've been told that isn't the case.

What he means by teal and btn is not an actual teal btn hero or enh, but teal mixed in with btn. You have Phineas and Joshua as your two main dudes, then all the standard non wc btn heroes. Now you just do gathering on Joshua, or band in btn heroes with Joshua in battle. It's pretty solid but I do not think btn anything is really fun. I do hear a strong deck in the meta game right now is N.T. green prophets mixed with silver. There is a lot of versatility and options you can do and ways to go so you might want to look into that since you mentioned prophets. Job deck is also very strong, I would do 56-63 cards with sites and a heavy heavy strong defense, with Job/Benjamin and maybe a couple silver heroes. Make sure to recur Job's Faith and you're good, once again you experiment with it and make the deck and playtest. The best way to get better is seeing different decks and playing with your own deck that you came up with. Then after playtesting it you see what the decks weaknesses are and fix those, and what the strengths are and maximize those.

I'm definitely playing that in T2. Or my Golgotha one. But that one will be more reliable and easier to build. I might do it in T1...

Playing any enhancement during battle must follow the rules of initiative. Healing cannot be played at any time.
