Title: Sword vs. Shield
Post by: Irish_Luck on February 17, 2011, 11:34:34 PM
Me and my Friend are debating what's better, an offensive deck with a little defense or a defensive deck with a little offense. I personally believe that defense is the way to go but he doesn't believe me. I use CBN demons and he uses Disciples and our matches are usually good match ups. I was just wondering what the community's thoughts were.

Offensive decks have proven to be dominant. Unless you're Pol, in which case balanced ftw.

Clearly, your friend is a genius.  Offensive speed is a brilliant deck that is sure to win plenty of matches.  Reasoning:
-I knew a guy who played a speed deck and won.
-Freud did a form of speed, and invented modern Psychoanalysis.
-Hitler never played a speed deck.

Freud did a form of speed, and invented modern Psychoanalysis.
Freud has also been incorrect in everything important he ever did except psychoanalysis (including psychoanalysis). Superego? Please, Batego is way cooler.

-Hitler never played a speed deck.
Blitzkrieg. Lightning is fairly fast.

Offense heavy is better than defense heavy unless you're playing online. A perfectly constructed balance is better than both.
