I'm looking for advice on how to best play a Roman defense in T1... I like some of the characters but overall a straight-Roman defense seems to give up initiative too much and has just a few interrupts/negates available.
Sorry for the double-post but I'll share the defense I tried: Evil CharactersEmperor Caius CaligulaEmperor TiberiusEmperor VitelliusEmperor ClaudiusEmperor NeroEmperor OthoThe Terrifying BeastCenturion at JerusalemThe Roman JailerEvil EnhancementsCrucify Him!Begging for GrainUnsuccessfulNamaan's Chariots and HorsesExpelling the JewsPaying TaxesHeavy TaxesUproar in JerusalemArrest in JerusalemSupport CardsGamaliel's SpeechFortress of AntoniaRoman PrisonColiseumI like the diversity of abilities but what I don't like is how they give up initiative so much. Is the hand-control strategy actually the best way to go for a Roman defense?
@ Watchman492 The only reason i don't like the Rome strategy is because if you don't have it out, then you are stuck with a bunch of multi colored enhancements that you can't use. plus, with the prevalence of coliseum, people have so many more ways to get rid of fortresses now. although, the first strike on rome is nice if you are running lots of negates.
My guess is that a lot of Roman defenses will want to use Emperor Domitian.
