Magicians

I was wondering what people thought about the magicians being a realistic deck. The new cards have made so many deck types possible but i think that magicians with demons and recurring enhancements to the bottom of the deck would be effective, so i was wondering what everybody else thought.

Magicians and Demons probably got my favorite stuff in this set; I definitely think PG/Orange(/Crimson perhaps?) defenses will be used quite a bit from now on.

User of curious arts is almost broken. 3 brigades?? that's sickeningly crazy.  Damsel with spirit of divination would be grrrrreat against speed for sure.

Consider this line-up for a 3 brigade defense:

Deceiving Spirit (Orange/selected brigade)
Crippling Demon (Orange/Pale Green)
Astrologers (Crimson/Pale Green)
Damsel with Spirit of Divination (Pale Green/Orange)
User of Curious Arts (Pale Green/Orange/selected brigade)
Enchanter (Pale Green-can use Orange EE to use SA)

Add in Simon the Magician with a few tasty black EE plus Magic Charms and I'd say Magicians are already a viable defense.

Have you looked it up in ORCID?

Tim's discarding deck doesn't use it. That's all I need to know, considering it couldn't even make a deck devoted to discarding the hand.

as far as the red set aside card since your already using orange you can throw in the theif to discard the set aside hero.

Tim's discarding deck doesn't use it. That's all I need to know, considering it couldn't even make a deck devoted to discarding the hand.

It was in some iterations of it. It mainly existed while I thought I could use Obedience of Noah to give my opponent Self and then Job Overcomes them to death. In fact, Job Overcomes was in it during SE Regionals 2008 and I got to use it against someone with a multicolor card present. Then again, I had terrible, terrible performance during that tournament (I got a bye, random little kids were trying to help me by giving me advice during the games...).

If they have their own Self, it's fine, but you can't count brigades that they control but don't own (like chosen blockers of yours).
