Just like the subject line asks. If most are using (I know not all, but most who can) are using TSC instead of NJ, then what purpose does NJ/BoC serve for the most part? I understand as an access site, but other than that.

A 3/3 multicolor hero? Would be amazing without a special ability, the search is just gravy.

Obviously there's some drawbacks to having all 9 brigades in play (Vittles, Provoked, etc) but like RDT said, having a multi-color Hero with great numbers for getting initiative is a really sweet deal.
Who knows, we might see a return of the Heroless deck... 8)

I think there's definitely some strategy in saving SoG and TSC for when you need to negate a LS.
However, I believe there's also some value in making sure you get two rescues with the "big two" regardless of which big two you are using. Using something like Birth Foretold and Bride of Christ to get SoG/NJ right away can put a lot of pressure on your opponent. It could also be valuable in MP games--I have been in numerous T2 MP games where I didn't get to play both of the big two and I have not ended up winning the majority of those games.
