Ummm, well I guess I'll vote for myself.

Everyone, you should vote for mine, its cost is a palindrome, and that obviously makes it the best.

RDT was kind enough to add a poll so please use that (if you haven't already)!

Feel free to still post discussion in the thread, though. :D

I really wanted  to vote for Westy's just for the a-bomb joke, but I opted against it. I feel like Justin's is the best value, so I went with that.

Thanks!

That was exactly my goal...even $100 can be a lot to spend for a new player so I wanted to create as cheap a deck as possible, but also one that is competitive as is and can easily be upgraded as the player's collection expands. Thanks for the vote!

Had to go with Isildur.

I mean.

How could I not vote for a deck with All Hope Lost in it?

I vote for Red Wing's. Deck is cheaper than average and also has multiple competetitive cards.(Also is beautifully on theme)

Nepotism. Pure nepotism.

Guardian. And if he wins, I'll buy it and show up to a tournament.

I voted for Guardian's as well. No bribes were offered nor accepted, but I couldn't resist holding Jonathan to his campaign promise.

Idk Jonathan but I also would like to see the promise held up so I also voted Gaurdian.

I vote for Guardian's as well. No, I was not bribed, and yes, I did actually look at the deck before posting this. Hoping to make Jonathan keep his promise! :D

Bribing is what winners do.

My personal deck theory was to cram it with tons of top metagame cards like NJ, Lampstand, Holy Grail, etc., so they can easily upgrade it down the road into a TGT deck.

Even if he did bribe its working very poorly

For those of us that don't have magical, special powers to see hidden things, can we not spoil the results please? There's a reason it's hidden until the end. :P

You see it just by voting

Not if you're not a Global.

In fact, Justin totally used his inside knowledge that he was losing to convince his family (some of whom almost never come on the forums) to vote for him.

My bribe was actually to play teams with him. Jokes on him, we took 3 out of 6.

Maybe we should do an anonymous vote for all all entries and then announce who entered the decks after the voting completes.  Also when the entrants send their deck in via pm they can give explanation in the pm and then that could still be posted with each entry.

I am considering doing that for next month, yeah.

Last day to vote!

The poll closes this evening and the winner will be revealed then (for those that can't already see the results, haha).

The winning desk will be up and available on the TLG site as close to August 1 as Ken can get it (he will be in the process of moving over the next few days) and the winner will officially be announced here.

If your deck wins, remember you get one of the rewards posted above in the original post, so keep that in mind!

Thanks to everyone that participated, we will be having another contest starting August 1st with a new theme!

Congratulations to The Guardian whose deck won with 13 votes! You will receive your choice of 20% off the discounted price if you wish to buy the deck from TLG, or a general 10% off your next order from TLG. When you wish to redeem one of these discounts, please complete your order as normal from TLG and add a note in the comment of which discount you are using. Ken will then take care of the discount from his end.

Looks like Orange Alstad is going to have to keep his promise. ;)

Ken and family are leaving today for their 30-hour drive (not counting stops) to Arizona so I cannot guarantee that the website will be updated exactly on the 1st (which is Wednesday) but we will do our best.

Thanks again to everyone for participating, there will be another contest up on Wednesday for August! :D
