I dont know much about the clay brigade, but I want to try out a small-medium sized mainly/fully Clay offence. the only cards I know I want in it are Tabitha & I think it is Peace (Heal and Convert, Multi colour TC)
There are tons of options to go here, due to the large number of themes within clay (mostly the different churches). Many of them are best when large, as a lot of the Hero abilities have X = number of members of the church identifiers. I would say the best small clay offense would be Phillipi, as that can be pretty strong with 3-4 Phillipi Heroes, and maybe a missionary or 2 (Barnabas and Peter are probably the best in general). Another idea for a small clay offense would consist of Peter, Paul's Disciples, Ananias of Damascus and Saul/Paul, with a few more missionaries, or cards like Tabitha, thrown in for good measure.
And Love is the enhancement you referred to, though Peace is also a great option in many cases, especially with Paul.
