I think the defense is a tad weak. offense looks good.

The defense is not as week as you think. I had the pleasure to play against this deck and found the defense to work well. The Phillys can be hard to get around and they hold you off while he sets up his sites. I had a very similar offense to his and was unable to rescue souls until late in the game. Site access is hard to keep as he is able to kill off your access sites with land dispute and take them with Jacob's Dream.

a couple more sites would work well because after you set up your sites adn you draw more souls the defense i wouldn't think would be strong enough against a couple Phineas's and zeals or other cbn enhancements.

Yeah but they have 5 Zeal's and 2-3 Phineas, I will block with a low guy play a btn enh, and Writ him. If they keep coming at me with him and I can't Abomb him or Writ him, then I will use dominates on him. After that teal doesn't bother me. But they have to use all their Zeal's on Joshua and Phineas, any else and I will waste them. Plus they have to have access on top. So yeah some CBN battle winners will hurt my defense, but what defense does a CBN battle winner not work against? 8 sites in a 105 card deck is very nice, especially when you have a strong offense with so many options. Also the Water Jars always work.  ;)

the defense is weak because it uses 3 battle winners and a bunch of negates (and abom, which in T2 is iffy, considering people now need to put in ways to get rid of Destructive Sin and IoJ anyway.) I seldom see negates work except against green. from my experience, most people play mainly CBN enhancements or pre-block for offense.

also, I played an offense similar to this at the T2 only tournament. it worked extremely well against everybody except a great player who used demons (in minnesota, of all places...) 1 Three nails is easily taken care of...

lol.
Today's meta game is not all about CBN. Think about it. Yeah there is Zeal/Phineas, and AoCp, but those have always been around. Today you see a lot of pre block ignore with nothing really in there hand to back it up, and you see "He Is Risen", which is negateable. All of green is negated, gold, blue, and white. The only CBN battle winner is Zeal on the right guy and AoCp. For that I will use Writ/Dominants for his 5 CBN battle winners, then I will negate the rest of his offense. Also this does a great job of locking out people.
Yes this offense has trouble with demons. You have to pre-block ignore and set aside their cbn bander's then attack with a Captain band. The solo Three Nails is for late game strategy when they think I do not have one, and they have put down their 7 Sons. Then I convert them, discard another card due to A-bomb, then 3 Nails and Capn band. I played against a strong demon defense and won in the late game, so I know it can be done.

Zeal can also be played on Joshua. in my previous teal deck, I used 3 of both heroes. gold? people play gold in T2? blue is pretty much all preblock. so, white and green are the only advantages I see.

Needs a Wrath.
he has 20 hero's. And multiples of his most important heros. So, I agree, +1 he should have a WOS.

A. Wrath is weak.
B. Why did you use a spoiler just to say you made a character destruction deck? it's not a big secret that those decks exist.
C. Wrath is weak.
D. it's unlikely he'll get initiative, outside of Fallen Warrior (which I'm really not sure why that's in there...)
E. Wrath is weak.
F. Black is weak.
G. Wrath is weak.
H. Wrath is interruptable

Water Jar... Meeting the Messiah... A-Bomb... Gold is a very popular splash in type 2 this year.

However many are in their deck... which are all negateable, unless they do Meeting the Messiah as a TC.

I'm pretty sure that's the only gold enhancement I've seen played in T2 all year. and it was only played as a TC (except for maybe once, and I was the one using it...). granted, there's few T2 players in my playgroup (6ish), but I was also at the T2 only, and none were played there that I saw.

I've played mono-gold against you, but it was characterless so you probably didn't notice.
