This deck went against 3 different types of Disciple decks. All decks were piloted by good players. I gave up 2 total earned lost souls, maybe 3. My final scores for all games were 5-2 or 3, 5-2 or 3, and tied 3-3. I could not have won this game even if I could have stopped Scribe/Proud/Recur due to the female only lost soul. So I tweaked the deck to fix that combo and the lost soul problem. Here's the updated version, and here is what I took out before hand:
Journey to Egypt out for KoT orange
Site immunity out for the switcher
Haman out for Hezzy's Ring
Escape to Egypt out for King of Tyrus
Haman for Gates of Hell
Here's the newest version now:

8 lost souls
Switcher
Set aside
FRP
Doubler
Site remove
Add an EC
Thorns lost soul-might come out
D/c an evil card

Grapes
SoG
CM
DoN
Mayhem

DRaid
Golgotha
Herod's Dungeon
Media x5

Unholy Writ
Hezzy's Ring
Priestly Crown

Job
Abe's Grown Man Kid
Job's Faith
Jubilee

Dust and Ashes

Prince of Persia
The Bear
The Ram with Two Horns
Uzzah
King Zed
Gomer
Mocking Soldier

Dungeon of Malchiah
Korah's Rebellion
Stiff-Necked
Haman's Plot
Shimei's Malicious Curse
Gib Trickery

Herodias
Herod Agrippa 2
Archelaus
Herod the Great
King Elah
Salome
Emp Claudius
Herod Phillip 2

Failed Objective
Ruthless
Mask of Fear
Swift Horses
Moses kills Egyptian
Wonders Forgotten

King of Tyrus orange it could be gold now that I think of it, but I like the Gates of Hell adding in if needed

Herod's Treachery
Lurking
Roman Destroys Jerusalem

Haman's Gallows
The Gates of Hell
Herod's Temple

This deck was mean. Anyone will have a problem rescuing souls. Thad cries when he sees tyler and this monstrous defense. Great job tyler!

You might have trouble with CTB Speed but besides that looks good. How do you rescue Lost souls. Job's Faith isn't even a definant battle winner.

They will have to be very very fast. I should be able to block the Provisions, but they will have to get out an Obed of Noah, an ec, and Jacob or Claudia/ET to get it off. I'm not too worried. I sit until the very end when they have nothing really left and I attack with Job. They block I play Job's Faith, which is a definite battle winner in this case. By this time they hardly have anything left and I just made you d/c 3 evil cards, and my numbers are huge. Next turn I go again and recur it. Next turn I go out again and recur it. If anything I can take out an evil card and add a good battle winner. Usually they have nothing to stop this very end game.

As a defense enthusiast, I bow down to you. I have found for big defenses that Burial Shroud is very useful if you need a extra turn or two to get your defense up and running. Also Darius Decree would stop CTB from both Jacob or Claudia/ET. I doubt you need to change anything about your deck however.

Yeah I don't have B Shroud because I want them to attack and waste stuff. It can definitely work in there, just not as good as Writ, IMO. Darius' Decree is good, but not good enough for this deck. It can also go in, but like I said earlier, what's going to come out for it?

They aren't necessary just occasionally helpful. I originally added Darius Decree to my deck because massive set aside was popular in my group but have found it to be incredibly helpful, especially with the ET-AOC being big in my group and me using demons. It also stops people from abusing fishing boat but it seems your deck does fine against disciples as it is.

Wow... I really don't see much beating this except for an offensive type deck discard (if they hit D&A), or a deck that is very similar to this.

Actually, heavy territory destruction with perhaps TGT might get by it.  You don't seem to have all that much territory protection.
Gates of Hell is by far the best card in the game.  No questions asked.

My deck would be perfect for facing this deck because it has a similar strategy. It would be interesting to see the two go at each other.

It'd have to be extremely heavy territory destruction. I have 16 EC's. But what you have to realize is that they are going to territory destruction me, I'm going to Herod's Temple to where I can block. Then next turn I draw more EC's. They would literally have to wait the entire game to kill all my EC's in my territory so I can not Herod's Temple. I don't have much territory protection because I would love for someone to go ET/AoC on me. There goes there main battle winner. Now I just Writ you, use a dominant, add an EC via lost soul, or Gates of Hell/Herod's Temple. That's if I don't have an EC in my hand, which I always do. So I gladly welcome an ET/AoC because you are going to need all the enhancements you can take when you face this defense. I don't necessarily need enhancements, my EC's can block all by themselves. The only thing I am slightly worried about is the offense being able to win against a heavy defense deck. I will wait till the very end, but I think I need enhancements, like Haman's Plot, that target humans, not hero's. Any suggestions? I'm surprised no one has said why Uzzah, you have no real artifacts for him...

I see three artifacts; UW if they're running Angels, Hezzy's Ring if they're not searching, or PC if they're not running sites. That's the only reason I guessed that he beat out Haman, though I'd still rather have Haman. 8)

As per the evil character destruction, right now you have Gomer+one or more of their ECs and Korah's Rebellion, Ram w/ 2 Horns set-aside, or Haman's Plot. Not much better you could do in Brown/Gold off the top of my head :-\

I feel this deck would be better by switching out a Media (or two) for a purple site (or two, maybe Pergemum?) and one of the LSs for the color guard? The Darkness would be nice for CTB and hiding your ecs?
If you were to go on a trip... where would you like to go?

yes I noticed ET AoC did hurt when it shouldnt. As Tyler said, the deck recovers quickly but he loses his Herods Temple when he plays Rome Destroys Jerusalem.

offensive deck discard like warriors spear would hurt but would also be luck.  or would it? 8)

As a fairly avid Herolite player, you need to be wary of the trick that every good player will know to use once they see Herolite coming: Magic Charms played during their battle, followed up by SoG/NJ on your Job. That's how my current Zebulun deck got its only tournament non-win (it ended in a tie, 3/3). I would probably add at least one of the anti-capture artifacts, just so you can be prepared for that eventuality. I also put Laver in every huge defense deck. This type of defense is supper strong, but there are always going to be certain cards that will be better suited for certain offenses, and certain cards that aren't. If you can ditch the unhelpful ones and draw your helpful ones faster, it can really help. The fact that it goes in Herod's Temple is also a huge plus.

Lastly, I know my suggestions are getting a bit much with no suggestions for what to take out. How effective have the Media sites been? I've always thought of that strategy as intriguing, but not necessarily effective, but I haven't tried it much. Maybe since Laver should improve your drawing capabilities, you can reduce it to 3? Also, User of Curious Arts (Prophets...or TexP even, since both can use Gold) might not be a bad idea, so that you can use your own Magic Charms. That two card combo can be incredibly effective, and the fact that he's NT makes him harder to get rid of.

Also, has Mocking Soldier helped much? I can see it might be nice to have both colors in battle, but I do wonder if it's worth it. I'd say you have plenty of EC's, so you can probably can either him or Elah. But, like I said, I haven't played with/against it, so I don't know for sure.

Two things. I thought Job would go to D&A right after, and numero dos; I wait until the very end, 99% of the time they have used, or would have used their SoG/NJ. Another thing is I hardly see WoP in a T1, which needs to be added into this one probably... but anyway, I will band to their Magic Charms every time and use it immediately.
Users of Curious Arts would be good with Magic Charms, but not worth it IMO. That's another artifact spot, which something would have to come out for, and I would have to take out an EC for this, and he is dead against BTN, unless I use the gold one. But I feel like my EC's are more useful than a gold no SA EC. I would also want to add another 1-2 more magicians just to ensure I can even use my Magic Charms. If he dies then I have a dead card in my deck, which I hate.
I think the best suggestion is a Media site out for a purple site. I will probably do that. Thank you.
I do not see a deck d/c deck even slightly hurting this deck unless they got the luckiest play ever and knocked off my D&A. And in that case I will tie them 2-2, and be furious. But what can you do against that crazy luck? That is not the type of things to prepare for.
Bronze Laver can help, but like you always do, what can come out for it?  ;)
I feel like almost every card in this deck is precise, and makes it to where I can not tweak much, and Laver is not really needed. Yes it will help, and I might consider adding it, but is it better than others that it would replace?
16 EC's is so AoC does not hurt me, and so I can hold EE's in my hand. The ratios are very good in this deck.

+1

I considered The Darkness, but it didn't make the cut. Hiding/protecting is great, plus it stops CTB, but I chose a site over it. This deck also stalls/locks out opponent's. The defense crushes other decks in plenty of different ways. The sites really slow up Disciple speed decks. It also does not attack with slows down Disciple decks since they draw so much with their Pharisees. The sites stall them at the beginning, as 1 The Darkness, would not. But it might help later on when they drop AoC, but switching a Media for a Color Guard/Purple site would fix that.

I am very confident with this deck. So confident in fact, that I will be playing it at my next state tournaments/regionals. Depending on how well it does compared to my type 2 decks, depends on what I play at nationals this year.  :o

Right now I am more confident/comfortable with this deck, and it is also very fun, than my type 2 decks I have made so far to be competitive.

Right. I guess I haven't seen Job as a Herolite enough (I always use Angels with him). Anyway, I guess that's no problem then.

A few things, not that it matters because of D&A, but you can't use your opponent's MC (it must be discarded from your magician to capture). And the TexP Users would be even better, because he can use either Gold or Brown. Plus, if Users dies, then you can use MC for Uzzah fodder.

That might help, but the Color Guard LS is much less helpful with the prevalence of the FBTN soul. I would go with CP instead. It territory protects half of your characters (as opposed to none with a rescued/negated Color Guard) and it also protects your Golgotha and Dungeon from being stolen.

As a point of reference, I use 15 EC's (well, 16 including Saul/Paul, but he doesn't count) in my 70 card Heroless. I am rarely without an EC. However, what will happen is that you have your brown enhancements and your gold EC's, or vice versa. That was the one common problem I had when my Heroless was Black/Crimson split. Bronze Laver would mitigate this by underdecking the cards you can't use at the time to get to ones that you can.

Yeah I would rather put in CP and not the color guard/purple, thank you. I'm still not sold on Users/MC. The main reason is because I would onnly have one EC to place it on. I can see me having MC in there for Uzzah fodder, which I think is a dull reason to add. If I could fit 1-2 more magicians in I would go that route, but I'm not seeing 2-3 magicians fit, and a MC. I could see Laver working in the regard to getting rid of extra EC's for matching enhs, but what can come out?

While I could see using Hezzy's Ring in a Watchful Servant/Zebulun deck, to stop Golgotha, I'm not entirely sure it's needed here. I would rather have Laver.

Otherwise, I'd consider taking out Claudius. Immunity just isn't what it used to be, and your Herods are great for being Roman, and for Dungeon. And they have big numbers for Mask of Fear too.

A-Bomb site lock would shut this down fairly easily, but I'm not sure how common that'll be with Fishing Boat out.
Another potential problem is if they know this is coming, in which case they will block with a random high numbered character, and save four evil cards in their hand. They'll discard three, play Falling Away, and then block with KoT for the rest of the game. I suppose you could get three with SoG, Job's Faith, and Abraham's Descendant (grabbing Job's Faith), but if they have a few high numbered characters with a KoT, you're toast.
Defense looks pretty solid.

EDIT: I guess you could save your Grapes to take care of KoT, but I was assuming that was for defense...

He does include the absolute best Abom counter in the game: Abe's Descendant. All he needs to do is pick it up and keep it in his hand. Since he'll be playing a deck whose primary offensive and defensive strategies depend on that card, I'm sure he'll make room for it.
