Did you have any trouble drawing evil characters? Seems like a Huge Egyptian could really help this deck.

Overall, I must say this deck does not look like one that could win a tournament. On that same note, congrats for doing so with it.

No "The Strong Angel"?  No "Destruction of Nehustan"?  I think I'd try to fit those in there at some point.

Congrats on winning the tourney!  That's always a great feeling :)

I am really confused as to what the rainbow GEs are for; Preaching the Truth, w/ Angels ???
CBN on Michael.  (AW has a Revelation reference).

Your defense doesn't seem to be powerful enough to sustain long enough for your offense.

I'm baffled as to how this won a tournament. It's an awful deck, so you must be a really good player.
I am not talking about T2 unless I am explicitly talking about T2. Also Mayhem is fine now somehow!

That's really mean... but then I realized that makes your compliment better. Hhaha

I'd balance out the evil characters with evil enhancements a little more... but overall seems decent.

That's a bit harsh.  I don't think it's that bad.  Sure there's been a lot of good suggestions of changes, but the basic deck is solid.  It's just not outstanding yet.

How about we uplift & encourage our brothers rather than be quick to shoot down his new district win.

I'm going to have to agree. This deck must have won on a combination of the player being really good and the meta not expecting silver not named Captain or TSA. Congrats either way, I just don't see how it happened.

This was along the lines of my first thoughts when I saw the deck.

In theory Silver is a very fun brigade right now. But to me it seems like the deck was constructed out of a box of whatever the player happened to have laying around, it hasn't been meticulusly constructed and tested making changes here and there until its the best it can be.

Case and Point - Preaching the Truth, when he doesn't have a single character that it can be used on.

Case and Point # 2 - Only 5 EC's, without any real chemistry between them in a 56 card deck.

Case and Point # 3 - No TSA, DoN, etc, etc.

All that said, I think the deck is good for what it is, and could be a very fun deck if the suggestions in the thread are taken (adding in TSA, etc)  but I don't expect to see it on top of the leaderboards come regionals and nationals if it remains in this form.

so heres the thing if you don't have a nice thing to say about this don't talk ever.  I am a magic player at heart and one that doesn't build decks people expect and that is what i will do in every tcg

Guys,
He's a fairly new player, working on building his deck.  (Remember what that was like, or was it so long ago that you've forgotten?)

You should be offering suggestions, NOT throwing attacks.

ESPECIALLY to a new "convert" from Magic.  If you criticize him too much, you'll drive him away - and we all lose out.
Welcome him, and HELP him!

Perhaps some people are just jealous that you won a district and they didn't. Let's just say everyone has space to learn, grow, and improve as well as their decks. No one has come to Christ-like perfection & completeness. Even myself, I have areas in my life as well my decks where I can improve. But that shouldn't give others the chance to tear down and bash others when we really ought to be uplifting and encouraging the accomplishment for those that achieved it in the first place.

I am glad he won with silver.  He's only missing one of the big 4 (The Strong Angel).  The beauty of silver is that you almost always draw one of the big 4 first turn.  They all bring about goodness for your offense.  I could very easily see him winning games because he drew Cap or Gabe or Mike early.

I agree that the bashing is completely unneeded.  Minuses for those who participated.
May you prosper greatly!

You are all smarter than that. Did anyone even read the second sentence of my post? I'm sorry, but the deck as posted is just objectively bad, even to the point of having a card that does nothing.

If you read one more sentence (takes a few seconds, I know you have it in you), you'll see that my point in emphasizing how bad the deck is was to emphasize how good the player is. Anyone can build a better deck with a few months' experience under his belt, but being a good player is a much more difficult, much better situation.

Long story short, that was a compliment.

Seriously. Both Pol and myself made it a point to compliment the player's skill for winning with a subpar deck.

I didn't post it but I thought pretty much the same thing that Pol said.  I didn't post it because I assumed it would be taken the wrong way.  Stating that the deck has lots of room for improvement is no diss to the creator.  I think it's extremely impressive that a new (to Redemption) player has the skill to pilot that deck to a tournament win.  If this guy sticks with Redemption and fine tunes his deck building skillz to match his playing skillz he'll be placing at big tournaments.  Who knows, maybe even win Nationals. ;)
Have you visited the Land of Redemption today?
