The design of Sleepin in the Garden(AkA my version of Gardensciples)

In the design of the deck I drew heavy inspiration from Chris's Gardensciples deck he ran back in around November when ROOT was testing Dom cap. However his version of the deck did little to account for the weakness of the offense, it's speed which is worse than Samuel. In this I designed the defense which was either copied or developed differently by Polarius. The defense helps the lack of speed in the offense by giving me multiple extra speed options. This defense is most likely the best variation on the meta defense popularized by John Early.

Defense of James the Son of Alphaus,
James' inclusion in my deck was due to the need of a low purple hero to play AocP and MLAMG. He also functioned as a second offensive threat with the GEs assuming CWD was active and as a second smaller John.

Why no Nazareth?
The main reason I didn't run Nazareth was Ammy Slave. Slave was used to fetch my true blockers to use to play my multiple auto-blocks. Philip also was boosted by the non-inclusion of Nazareth.

Ends of the earth? 54? What?
EoTE was played as a way to deal with random sites which destroys Gardensciples. 54 was as small as I could get it. I wanted to go smaller.

I played against this deck in the third round. And I lost. Easily. I had a similar offense, but his smashed me before I could do anything good. :)

The Report.
Rd.1 Galadwyn.
Samuel/Samaria.
Oh boy, Auto-loss game 1. Joys. Anyway I actually misplay on t1 by Angeling a KOT instead of playing AocP which most likely cost me a point of differential. He managed to get set up and then proceeded to win 5-3.
Result: 3-5 loss.

Rd.2 Logan Lowery.
Mirror
Here's how the game went, He drew one lost soul. Guess the score anyone?
loss 1-5

Rd.3 Lampy(James Justice)
TGT/brown Defense.
I prayed before this game and due to a good draw I managed to be able to take advantage of his misplays and win.
win 5-3

Rd.4 Ian Kratzler
Red/Babs
I prayed again before this match as well and I got another good start allowing myself to get advantage early, I destroyed his territory with angel and grail giving my self walk-ins.
win 5-1

Rd.5 James Courtney(Megamanlan)
His anti-meta angels
I prayed again to start out, and the match went a bit like this, opening I start play stuff he draws souls and not much else and I walk in. Then the game came down to me redrawing sog/nj off his mayhem then joanna attacking playing HiR setting aside TDP, he plays swift horses, nothing that affects this game. sog/nj for the win.
5-4

Rd.6 Josh Swinson(Knoxyouthpastor)
Red/?
He drew no defense allowing me to win.
Win 5-3

Rd.7 Christian Fong
Pre-block ignore/oldschool speed
I prayed before this match like the past 3, anyways this match was one of my favorites of the tournament, Christian's deck was interesting and we knew each others decks due to playtesting Wednesday night in the hotel together. The game itself was basically soul trading with him mustering a defense of mainly burial shroud and Falling away. The game came down to him making a fatal misplay by not taking advantage of persian presidents capturing one of my Garden girls when I attacked for three with bart.
Win 5-3

Rd.8 Chris Ericson(Chris)
The deck.
I prayed again pre-match. The game was basically me not being able to set up and chumping him like crazy.
loss 1-5

Rd.9 Zac Cornell(Sepjazzwarrior)
Geneyptians
I prayed again, The game was prolonged slightly by him wandering a */4 which didn't do much. I walked past his defense for Zach's quickest game ever.
Win 5-3

Rd.10 Andy Stanley.
Half-baked TGT deck
Andy's at 6-3 and that makes me happy for him but ok it's the last round top ten's on the lines. He gets something tried for worst draw... no heroes in like three rounds allowing me to get the 5-1 win.
Win 5-1.

Final record: 21 points +7 souls.

Best tournament of my life as well. I enjoyed it. props to Polarius, Christian fong, and Clift crysel for being pretty awesome guys to hang with. Props to Roy for adopting me into the new york group haha and being a great guy. Props to The Deck for being awesome, and most of all praise to our God for being himself in all of his power. Red out.

I was James, just so ya know. :) And see what a little prayer can do? Now, if only I remembered that for myself yesterday.
